  17. herself reminded me of an incident when i had the pit and the shepherd out swimming in the river,i always believed if you give a dog enough exercise he wont be so wound up,well we had the 2 out for an hour and on the way back we made the pit jump a few bales of silage,and he ran up them stacked 3 high,the shepherd running below watching him..the pit jumped down hit the ground and the shepherd was on him ,tried to take a neck hold..missed the spot,the pit turned and latched on to his nose and inside of his pallet,i roared ..obviously no joy,..the pit shook fuk out of the shepherd who was now sc
  18. lol there were dozens of incidents,some more serious than others,i always had to think,did i lock this or leave that out cause the fooker would wreak havoc when he got into one of his spins.....ive seen some shepherds since that look to be exactly what i wanted,i just didnt get the right one for me i suppose..i hope you get the right one,theyd be superb to have about when your alone..I must say i did get peace of mind when i was at work cause no one was coming over that garden wall with him about,i slept well for a few years,
  19. Good luck on your quest, my shepherd was bred from a Czech police dog, the dam was a big bitch, both easy going,... Maybe I was just unlucky and got the retard of the litter, lol... I got his nuts off at 6 years old to see would he settle, 6 months later I took him for his last walk in the woods, everyone in our family gave a sigh of relief when he was gone... I was looking for exactly what you are, after a lot of money was wasted on buying him, getting him neutered, I still ended up with a walking neurotic pain in the hole..... Hope you find the perfect dog for your family
  20. ive never seen anyFilas,but i heard of some lad up the country with the Tosa,, id never have tje room for a dog that big to be honest now,i rearranged the kennels and widened the patio area, pad locks and pick axe handles are the order of the day now lol
  21. ive a pure saluki here thats a good dog to guard,youd look at the skinny fecker and think nothing of him but hes a handful if you get too brave with him .id not have another for the moment,..unless i started getting unwanted attention again...but my lads have gown up now,both do martial arts so i let it to them to sort out any shite that comes lol...
