For those who have experience with German shepherd's, our dog, that's from working lines, turned out to be a right pain in the hole, he never settled in to a pattern of behaviour, he did some things you'd not expect him to do, and basically he turned me off shepherd's for life... He was at times very good at guarding, and other time switched completely off, and then other times I'd have a mate in the kennel and out of the blue he'd become defensive and focus on my mate even though I was there, one shout and he'd stop but I had to keep an eye on the prick the whole time... He focused on people

ITS their environment i reckon,cause my 2 wouldnt guard for shit,their sire is a quiet content dog too,but i met him with his owner at the times i called there ,so alone he might be different,..a sister to yours over here is very friendly also,no guarding instincts at all yet

the greyhound bitch i had(i still have another)was a savage,i could beat her for an hour she'd still be savage,cant blame the dog ,it was down to human error...and i might add,the greyhound ate the ferret after killing it...unfortunately she never took when covered with a dog ,vet checked and he reckoned she would never go on pup..so I PTS...was asking around for a few days and theres no ferrets being kept by many here

Tell me about it lol...2 to 3 hrs in her bedroom every day ,unfortunately one escaped from the nest box and walked into the greyhounds kennel....the daughter was devestated afterwards for a few days ..

just out of interest ,what price do you charge ,or are willing to pay for a ferret kit of 8 weeks old? ive been looking for a jill for the daughter and off hand dont know of anyone that has them available ,so i trawled through the FB pages and came across 3,none of whom im acquainted with,,the first lady was a pet owner and asking 50 quid ,and not that im a tight fecker but ,i said thanks but no thanks,the second was 25 and third 30...so i was just wondering was this the going rate for a young kit these days ...weve more or less booked 1 and should have it in a months time ...so what you folk

a bit of everything ,but the journey to where he ended up is very evoking and i found a nice read....,ive not had of dogs and deer,i heard its a brilliant book,i will get a copy some day

i got the 3 for x mass 2 years ago,and i was very disappointed in them..never realised it was a questions and answer format...ive gone off buying books now unless highly recommended,but Phil Lloyds books are a must for a good ole enjoyable delve into the mindset of a driven hunter/seeker of game
