We have two tanks on the go,ones a shrimp /guppy tank, the other is a community tank, lots of different types,we have blue Moscow guppy's and tiger barbs,...if I was starting again ,I'd avoid the guppy's,they breed like mad,I emptied the shrimp tank (or so I thought) and I missed 4 guppy's...we now have near 60/70 again...we have assassin snails in that tank...the secret to a healthy tank is set it up first, get the water parameters correct, get a few plants, decent rocks and create structure with hidey holes for fish to escape ,do your research, social fish that don't need over the top attention..
