My ratchet had it out with a bull in the woods,back and fourth the battle went,...(while I hid behind a tree)...after a long time the bull was bate the dog was bollixed,the bull dug furrows with him,...I ran in shaking , breaking stick in hand and separated the dog,....not long after the dogs kidneys packed in,and he had to be pts.,.I'm still recovering from that too

They'd have run away ...this thing was savage...if I hadn't had the pit I'd have run away lol

I at one time got the shit kicked out of me from a llama ,it decided to protect the flock of sheep he was in with,it was bad enough trying to keep jigsaw away from the hairy cnut,but the llama was well up for a scrap too,my shins were skint to fuk,and my foot badly bruised from it stamping on me,..how I got myself into these situations,I can't understand even to this day..

I'd guess it was a sister to jigsaw ,as I know where all my liter went,..when I went to buy jigsaw ,there were 9 pups,8 identical and a red bitch,...I saw a pair from jigsaws litter and they were mirror image of each other

I could tell ye a few blunders,...one concerning ratchet grabbing a bull that wandered into a wood I walked.....I'm just healing mentally .....15 years later

I kept a lot over 22 years,all you need is one moment of forgetfulness,one slip up and it can be costly,...if you just keep a lone dog ,it'd be less tense I think lol

I was unlucky,my shepherd was from a Croatian police dog sire(retired and imported )and a trained schutzhund dam....no nerves in either ,but my thing was border line scytzophrenic,the odd day he was chilled,most days manic,walk him miles,loose running,he was still mad,he swam one day for 25 minutes against a strong current when the dam was opened,people were freaking out he might drown,I was freaking out he might survive,....I had him 8 years,and he did his job,he kept people out,...

A few lads down this way have the malanois,and they'd eat ye alive,,their that bit more serious than the German shepherd,and the savegery they display when fired up is terrifying lol

Strangely enough,I got a call from a lady just an hour ago,she's split from her partner,he owns the house,and she had 2 dogs,1shepherd ,5 years old ,one lab,12 months old,shepherd is a serious guard dog, brought up with a young girl,so great with kids,..the lab is a friendly dog,both free to a good home....anyone looking for a dog to mind their property /kennels,in Ireland ,there's a good shepherd available I'm told,broken to horses too as an addition
