Anyone ever done a great white shark cage dive in gansbaai?Theres a few firms offering breaching trips in june-july-august for around £115 quid including pick-up and drop-off in cape town,meals and the diving itself,breaching is where the shark rockets out of the water to hit a sea lion with force,just wondered if anyones done a similar trip?

I have twice seen sparrowhawks local chasing green ring-necked parakeets,never seen the culmination of the flight but would love to see a spar catch one.

If you ever get the chance and you got a week spare at the end of spetember and you want to see an incredible bird of prey spectacle spend a week on Gibraltar,I guarantee you will over 1000 BOP's in a day,I dont know if peregrines migrate but I saw maybe 20 in a day,and hundreds of egyptian vultures,loads of osprey,montagues harriers etc.

Theres a vote this week to choose the national bird of britain the Barn Owl is one of those in the running,I used to keep them when i was a kid,ignominious end for that one which is a pity as they are beautiful birds.

I met a couple halfway around the world last year,the guy was british,he told me he came from seaford,the name rang a bell and I asked him had he ever met a guy called John Darling,turns out he knew JD well and drank in the local pub with him,said he was a true all round gent and a great guy.

Theres London and then theres London,some areas are dives,my brother lives in deptford and its a sh*thole but as he said after sunderland its like a breath of fresh air,the only really bad place I can remember living in the smoke was the isle of dogs but thats been gentrified nowadays,most guys upcountry class anywhere within the M25 as london it aint all built up with barrow-boys pearly-kings and pie-and-mash shops,I can be walking along the thames 5 minutes from leaving the door countryside all round,fantastic fishing some guy got a 17 lb barbel from the local stretch,which also has some big

Good program on at the moment about 2 of hitlers genetic scientists who attempted to recreat the extinct Aurochs for hitlers private Hunting forest,just seen a guy bowhunting,they were trying to reintroduce moose and bison from north american stock also,the program is on More4 and is called Hitlers Hunting Experiment,goering was apparently a fanatical hunter who kept pet lions.

I just read in the paper Ed "two kitchens" Milliband said when at home in his £2,000,000 house he doesnt use the downstairs kitchen,he just uses the little one upstairs for tea and biscuits thats why he had his pic taken in it and thats where the confusion comes from that his kitchen is small (until a BBC reporter let the cat out of the bag that his main kitchen is much grander).Get farage in.
