Exactly mate,another born on the right side of the tracks who didnt do it as a lifestyle choice but saw a niche in the media market and exploited it,HFW is a businessman,look at the cost of his rivercottage courses ,they aint cheap for a weekend,he might come across as a mildly eccentric bumbling upper class country yokel type but its all contrived and he is sharp as a scalpel blade.

I remember that program,I remember thinking he was financially well buffered from the reality and hardship of self sufficiency,wasnt he the guy who used a RIB to get up and down sea lochs?The last time I filled a RIB up it cost a small fortune,it must be easy street to be financed by a production budget.

Its the only lake I have ever fished thats got a massage-parlour on site its got a couple of tackle shops,wifi,even a kids games room also One english guy who guides there offers 50% of your money back if you dont catch a 30lb fish,I dont think he has ever had to refund,I have been there when its a bite a cast and the sessions were frenetic,great lake,John Wilson is now retired to thailand and is trying to build up a reputation with his lake but he is overpricing it and aiming at well-heeled anglers,the place I fish has bigger species siamese catfish go over 100kg in this particular water,

Carp gear is all you need for mackerel from the rocks,I used to catch mackerel from the rocks on gibraltar with carp tackle that worked just fine.

Just had a really enjoyable session,plenty of fish caught up to around 70 lb but had a couple of good lads fishing nearby,one of them had what looked like a kids rod,seriously it had been snapped and bound together with tape at some point in its life,the sort of tackle that costs you a fiver at a car-boot sale for the kids to catch dace with,this guy caught fish after fish with it till he got one that was around 50 lb and it took him a while to subdue it,so he changed to a rod that looked like a snooker-cue with homemade eyes bound to it with tape,it had very little action and was probably 10

I was in a right shit-hole called poipet a few weeks ago,typical border town,went into a photographers that doubled as a shoeshop,tiny place selling dust covered counterfeit nike air-max and suchlike,they had a couple of pairs of cabela muckboots in for a tenner a pair The ones in the clip might be decent,the americans put a lot of R&D into their archery gear,the industry as a whole is worth a fortune.

It basically tells of how the Indian folk of Southall have turned the place into an urban slum. Flouting building regulations, erecting shanty town 'outbuildings' to house illegal immigrants. Yup,the slough-sheds have spread all over west-london,leastways they had last time I was there,I remember seeing an old garage interior having a makeover in Hayes and furniture being taken in,there was a raid on a street in southall a couple of years back and 13 illegal immigrants were arrested in one swoop of those illegal backyard dwellings.

Sexual predation on white girls is all too common in pakistani origin males in the uk,in pakistan women dont go shopping or visiting friends without a male relative escorting them because of unwanted sexual attention,I hope the full weight of the law descends upon their shoulders though vigilante justice as it would have happened in pakistan would be far,far better,preach sharia and thats what you should get.

Bad safety records,the pope visited the philippines the other week and one of his entourages planes blew off the runway,I took 11 flights in the philippines during november/december and none of them left on time,two were on the same day and both were late one of them by three and a half hours,absolute shambles. I took a hot-air baloon flight yesterday and it beats planes any day of the week,not for long haul though

theres 2 british magazines dedicated to it mate,ones called The searcher the other is something like Metal Detecting?Its worth getting a mag even just once for an indication as to whats happening in the game,you NEVER know what your next signal is going to reveal Get onto google earth,its a useful search area tool as old footpaths and long gone buildings reveal themselves,mny a time I looked and found old footpath shadows,be lucky.
