    I know quite a few areas in surrey with numbered corrugated sheeting squares sited by reptile study groups,i always look under,not uncommon to see slow worms and grass snakes under the same sheet,beautiful creatures.

    Ye he was a sea gypsy I think He was mate,you get them all over Indonesia,malaysia,philippines etc,the old ones never set foot on land till they died the new lot beg for coins in harbours etc,boat pulls into harbour,they come alongside in small canoe,you throw some coins in the water and they dive for them,times change,the old guy must have some stories to tell.

    It was on the Wey Navigation near Ripley, Surrey. I see deer most days but a first for me seeing one this deep in water on the banks edge. I know ripley very well,always see roe there when wandering around,beautiful area,be lucky
