I was with my kid on a beach,we had just been to a tower block where we zip-lined from the top 56 stories down,anyway walking down the beach when my kid said "Dad,you know the guys on this beach think your some old nonce who struck lucky" I looked around,loads of old geezers with teenage boys,we had walked unintentionally onto a gay beach

Old friend of mine was the very first person to offer motorbike trips through Cambodia for adventure tourists,took people into some dangerous places,international now doing trips to Tibet etc,if you visit Cambodia nowadays theres any number of motorbike tour firms.

Good experience,i felt bad once in the Philippines,old guy had absolutely zip to eat no fridge,no running water,no electricity,but because I rocked up he suggested we eat his dog even though it was his only companion

I never went to Gillhams mate,i used to land in Bangkok and immediately fish in the original bungsamran where the IGFA records were all set,had some nice fish over the years,bungsamran is now a subdivision filled with houses,they moved it outside Bangkok and renamed it bungsamran 2

The entire region is beautiful,fishing head to the new bungsamran 2 for huge cats,or Jurassic for arapaima

Theres no arapaima in the Mekong stoney,both those pics were taken in lakes,the fishing is off the scale as are viet,laos,cambodia,myanmar and Thailand,enjoy your trip,the whole region is fascinating.
