Can't remember mate, only met plummer a couple of times, I bought into the hype back in those days, I was a kid the first time and went down to Walsall for a lecture on the huddlesford? rat pack given by plummer, hancock, and there was the ferreter there from Yorkshire who used to write for shooting news mick mansbridge? We hunted quite a few in tussock grass and reeds, as soon as the dog had one we ran over took the rabbit and lamped the next, very fast. -
I have quite a good retentive memory for some things ? there's a very old post on here or moochers, british guy, was he a welder? Lived stateside, he DID get whitetail with his dog, caught two one day, the story is on here or moochers, only needed one so let the second go after getting the dog off it ??

Yup, he was, whitetail are the only species local, mule deer and antelope further west, the ones I saw yesterday were whitetail,you could have certainly had a run on a couple.

The bright orange is so other guys don't shoot ya, loads of hunting "accidents" during gun season, the camo in most cases is fashion.

I put a pic up on here once from when I was 17 or 18,a week in Caithness, truthfully can't remember the exact number of rabbits, somewhere between 1-1200 rabbits, my cousin still lives up there and the numbers have plummeted, but back then when Tommy McPhee was bagging the numbers it was nirvana.

Got to be an urban myth, my mam always used to tell me that as a kid, that people died before they hit the ground but she never told me where she got the info from or how she researched it, so I would scrap urban myth and replace it with old wives tale ?
