There’s a lot of cash being made by foreign and local investors,my nephew got a Bangkok lawyer on the case to get his licences,money talks in LOS,be interesting to see how this pans out long term.

Coincidence of the week,just walked along a river,bit to f**k off mozzies and big black flies,big bite on my cheek and above my eye.Anyway,found maybe 30 turtle nests dug out,one guy fishing said it’s normally raccoons,and the eggs eaten.

I did a bit of reading when I first saw turtles basking on ponds that had been frozen solid,I knew Canada and time USA states are far colder than UK but turtles stateside have better summers,however there’s a few people I have met who are convinced they breed in the UK.

They survive and certainly put on size in the UK but I don’t know about breeding?

No mate,I have seen ponds in Canada,frozen solid for months,as soon as the spring thaw defrosts the ice the turtles appear to bask.
