    Costco.

I had a Costco membership for two years, joined when one first opened near me, waste of time unless you have a large family or a corner shop, I think I shopped in there three times in 24 months? They did sell a few low end rolex watches in the one local but nothing worth getting excited about.
  8. Currently living 3331 miles from where I live in England, this will be the third year I am spending 6 months here and we own the place so it's our abode. The furthest I ever actually lived from the place I was born was 6605 miles. One of my sons lives 8824 miles from his birthplace. In the UK I live 287 miles from where I was born, as wise old man once told me it's a big planet but a small world.

Most brits live within 20-50 miles of their birthplace. In the area I was brought up I know people who still live in the same street as their parents, and others who left for Canada, USA and Australia. How far do you live from your roots?

As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white c***” as they beat me. They made it clear that because I was a non-Muslim, and not a virgin, and because I didn’t dress “modestly”, that they believed I deserved to be “punished”. They said I had to “obey” or be beaten. My brother married a lady from East London and lives in deptford, you can't tell he was born in the NE as he has a very neutral accent.
