  2. I am going to an archery store at the weekend just over the river,I will have a look at their recurves. Precision Archerie WWW.PRECISIONARCHERIE.CA Precision Archerie is a local hunting shop in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. We sell bows, crossbows, and any... But I think at the moment for precision, range and accuracy I will stick with compounds.
  3. I have tried takedown and recurve at Quicks range when it used to be my archery club, never quite got on with them, that looks decent.
  4. that gentleman isn’t happy bangers, but understandably so,multiculturalism is one way traffic.
  5. I actually know a guy, used to be on here,I have known him since I was at school who was caught poaching goldfish,he just laughed it off.
  6. That’s what I have in the UK,a Mathews,I got a Triax at 60lb pull, really nice bows.Maybe think about getting a bear? This is adjustable from 10lb-70lb which you can do yourself with an Allen key at home,it wouldn’t feel as bad on your shoulder at 40-50lb?
  7. It’s a bear Greg,you into archery mate?
  8. Even with the tree saddle mate?I was up in Quebec last week on public use land,I saw a tent through the trees (which was empty,I looked in)and a corn pile maybe 20 yards away so bow range, lots of deer in the area.
  9. How’s your photography coming along Leo?How did your mineral licks work as an attractant?
  10. When’s your flight Keith?
  11. I know a similar bloke and crime, also know a really nice bloke the last time I saw him had been inside 14 or 15? Times, silly crimes.Jukels £1,000,000 for a year is fantasy for 99.999% of these people.
  12. Most crims don’t go to nick for a million or anywhere near that figure,a couple of hundred quid at the most, maybe a few grand if they got lucky.
  13. Yup zwickey judo’s mate, they do the Kondor which have longer wires, the bloke in the store uses them for grouse and squirrel. It’s snowing at the moment,I am going to have my breakfast then walk a trail for a bit of stump shooting.
  14. He is ubiquitous,it’s a basic tag but everywhere, now your aware your going to spot it more and more.
  15. Brits abroad. There’s a prolific graffer in London,he gets everywhere,I have even seen his tag in the background of a Hollywood movie, keep your eyes open next time your in town for 10 FOOT
  16. Sending the stuff home in a balikbayan box for ukay-ukay,the country is currently being battered by typhoons, and wasn’t long ago hit with earthquakes,I think a Filipino seaman was drown off Aberdeen or Ullapool a couple of years ago?
  17. Probably Filipinos Juk,Thais aren’t a known seafaring race whereas Filipinos pay the POEA in Manila to get a visa for UK boats.
  18. Recharging your batteries with animism,I get it.
  19. I have met a couple of Filipinos working on Brit boats Juk,they have it cushy compared to one young Filipino I heard of working on a Panamanian registered boat, his first trip raped by a shipmate and thrown overboard, horrific. as for the guys you know they can walk away anytime they want, they aren’t true slaves, they paid agency fees in their homelands to get a work permit for the UK.
  20. I never “got it” either in all honesty Juk,I heard a few stories of people dying in meditation, one monk tried to explain to me that most western peoples minds are cluttered with inconsequential thoughts and meditation declutters and defrags the mind.but he was a bit of a let-down in the end as he asked could I get him a beer.
  21. I watch that guy Leo,I saw the doe he got with the pistol crossbow. I got some Zwicky heads yesterday and shot them at a cushion from 20 yards,it feels good and shoots where I aimed. The bow is fine but I am taking it into a bow shop across the river to get it tuned up Mel.All new bows benefit from a tuning, the guy I bought it off didn’t get it tuned he just flung a few arrows straight from the box, taking it into an archery dedicated store will tighten groups up.I have a bow in the UK that was a flagship model for Mathews and was just over a grand when I got it,this one feels alm
  22. I once trekked up a mountain path in the Himalayas with a monk,he was leaving food outside a hut, inside the hut was a junior monk seeking enlightenment,he wouldn’t see a human for three years, three months, three weeks and three days, then he would emerge from the hut hopefully enlightened and come down to the monastery a fully fledged monk.He didn’t want 10 or 5 million quid for his solitary meditative three years,it wasn’t for material possessions or gain.I learnt something that trip,my freedom and time,to me personally, are worth far more than a few quid,I want to live life, but I am aware we ar
  23. I sought enlightenment and found it (sort of) Walt.
  24. Time is the only currency you spend without knowing your balance, use it wisely.
  25. I know someone who “found” a Banksy and more importantly “the letter” from the rat-man which always authenticates it.
