I was in a riparian carpark near the Minnow pub in weybridge,the actual banks of the carpark are renown places for pike anglers,I asked a bloke had he had any luck and he told me a baby otter had been rummaging around his bags,a bit further along the bank was a mink.I spoke to a wildlife photographer who saw a big turtle take one as it was swimming on a lake.

Anyone who has ever detected an area with Roman history will find scraps of lead,they loved the stuff,used it for everything from make-up to plumbing and bowls,leads chemical symbol Pb is from the Latin Plumbum (lead) I have seen a couple of those ingots in a museum in Rome,I wonder the monetary value of the ones found in wales?

The newer versions signal your phone so whoever sets them gets an alarm on their phone,they can open the app and watch AND hear what your saying in real-time.If you take them they can be tracked with GPS just like a missing phone.Technology is a blessing,but can also be a curse.

@Bangersanmash just spoke about the dearth of negro’s or persons of colour when he went up to the north-east to visit family recently,I never saw one single black person in Sunderland in the 1970’s,not one,I saw them on TV in films like Zulu but I never saw a live one.

I actually remember a time when there were no Chinese tourists,as you said “That was a long time ago” Nowadays Sunderland has a thriving Nigerian population and dozens of ethnicities,but I still remember seeing my first negro and realising they existed outside movies

I had seen negros on TV obviously so I wasn’t shocked when I saw a real one in the flesh (better add that).

As a boy I never once saw a genuine negro black person,I did see a family of Chinese and one Indian man,I never once saw a real live black person till I went to London,there were none in Sunderland. Bath had Georgian wealth built from slave plantations so in the early days slaves obviously found their way to the large houses?
