I was in Alcudia for 2 weeks hols recently and all the bunnies in the shops were spotless with no bruising at all. Can someone please explain how these ones are dispatched as ive done thousands in my day and even when throwing their neck there is always a wee bruise. So are these spanish rabbits farm reared and then gassed, They have then head left on so i could see that they hadnt been shot Just curious as to how they get the hop without any bruising..

Whats the chance of him getting a firearm ?.
k9delboy replied to k9delboy's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Exactly what i thought. He reckons they will have to give it to him as they took his money in good faith and told him his record was clean. Also meant to say that the first two were not mentioned by police, it was the motoring offences they charged him with. I said to him he should feel lucky only to get charged with this and not to rock the boat because i would imagine if you shake them the wrong way then what chance would he have in the future. Says he applied 3 years ago and was told to withdraw and wait 3 years which he did to no avail. -
Only use wood for the roof buddy. Get block up to piss hight for sure so it is easy cleaned and galv for doors with concrete beds. Seems a lot of work but pays off in the long run. I have automatic driners in mine as well as bottle beds, cool in summer and hot in winter. I put in electric and the mutts listen to the radio all day too. Got fed up of crawling into tiny wee kennels trying to keep them clean. Oh and never ever paint the flors or the walls as it will come off during the winter no matter what type of rubberised paint etc you use.Hope this helps, Del .

i know a guy who has applied for his shotgun and 22 rim fire but has been turned down due to (1) Serving 6 months for fighting with 2 policeman over 20 years ago. (2) threatning to kill his old man over 20 years ago. (3) various motoring offences from a long time ago. He applied to the police and paid £10 for some type of background check on himself which came back clear so he stupidly decided not to inform them of any of these past histories. Whilst waiting on the feo coming out to see him He was called in to see them a few weeks later at the local nick. They had somehow found out about

Why give him leeway on anything. Why should he be allowed to take drugs and operate machinery of any kind ?. I would fire him in a minute if he worked for me. Can you imagine him putting peoples lifes at risk on sites whilst he swans around on his machines. Plain and simple pal, get off the drugs.

Sorry i couldnt make it Denned but it sounds like all had a great day as usual. You and your merry bunch always put on a brilliant day and the best part is the fact that you listen to what others say and take points on board to improve on in the future. Looks like there were a few really nice looking dogs on the day. Hopefully, im back to full strength and good health for next year and can get my own show at the Fife back up and running. Well done again for putting on another good day, Del. -

Why cross them, why not get pure fox hounds that are bred to do the job.

Help required, Pigeon ammo for undercover work
k9delboy replied to k9delboy's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
Just back in from shooting pigeons and the young guy shot 4with his air rifle and 4 took off in the dark. I saw a lot more yesterday sitting in the rafters during the daylight and expected there to be a hell of a lot more than 8 but as i shone the lamp i spotted what im sure was a sparrow hawk roosting on one of the girders. Im thinking this is maybe why there were not so many here tonight. Ah well, there will always be another night to sort them out, Del. -
Moo, she had to get out of the tied house which is why i got the chance to buy the working Lab. She also had wire haired pointers , Thanks Del.

Help required, Pigeon ammo for undercover work
k9delboy replied to k9delboy's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
I have managed to obtain a young chap that stays local and is doing a college course to become a gamekeeper to help me with this problem. I have permission to take him with me to shoot pigeons with an airgun so it is doing him a favour too. I have an airgun but it wouldnt knock a sh*te off a dyke and someone told me that i could purchase a weaker bullet just for this job. There is no way on this earth that i would fire a normal 22 rim fire bullet towards metal girders and tin roofing for fear of ricochet and serious damage to people (i.e. ME) or buildings. That is the reason for this site guy -
I am going to shoot pigeons at my local football ground and have been told that i can get bullets for my 22 rimfire that wont puncture the tin roof when shot. Is this true and where can i buy them. The birds are in the rafters approx 30ft up if this helps, Thanks in advance,Del. P.S.I dont have an airgun or i would have used it.

law on shooting 22 on golf course
k9delboy replied to jocky's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
It says, The .22r/f rifle and the .22 sound moderator and ammunition shall be used for shooting vermin and ground game and for zeroing on ranges or land over which the holder has lawful authority to shoot. So i take it that this means i can shoot wherever i have permission so long as obviously it is a safe place to shoot. I.E Such as the football ground at night when no one is there or lamping on the golf course etc. This is what makes this site so good.Good information passed between each other and some sound advice where required, yis Del. -
law on shooting 22 on golf course
k9delboy replied to jocky's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
How do you know if you have an open ticket as i have looked at mine thouroughly and it doesnt say where i can shoot. i asked for my 22 rim fire to be used on vermin whereever i was asked and i also shoot, not on a golf course but on a football park with written permission from the groundsman. Should i seek approval from the police too ???, Del. -
Brilliant post, Del.
