  1. How do you get the initial call bird in the Larson? Eggs? Tony
  2. Skot, Si did a little tutorial on one of his channels a couple of years back, step by step I've never done it myself because if I started that malarky I'd wind up buying a set of scales and a Vernier Caliper! (well have one of those but not the scales). The grouping with the tin of washed and lubed RWS Superfields that Si gave me produced an 8mm 10 shot string E2E print on paper targets at 30 yards. But as a hunter that extra mm or two is neglidgable on the quarry at nominal range. Paper on the other hand, every fraction of a mm counts If I were a serious competition shooter I'd fol
  3. What pressure are you filling the gun up to? If you fill above or below the "Sweet Spot" in the power curve your pellets will fly all over the place Most new people fill the gun to the capacity of the air cylinder, for example 200 bar. I no longer fill the gun past 175-180 Bar as 175 is nicely in the sweet spot on my S200. I try not to let the pressure drop below 100 bar either as that is close to the lower end of the sweet spot. Tony
  4. I'll see what I can do Si on my limited time in the field, I have an idea that if I can get it done would be pretty cool for such a dvd. I've still not seen the dvd that I did the lamp section on over in Germany! Did I make it into the final cut? Tony
  5. I'm with Mike above especially if you have it in writing Tony

  7. Have a gander at AGS or JSR scopes. Also the Hawke airgun scopes Most scopes are PX'd at 100 yards/meters for rim/centrefire rifles. Tony
  8. Darn true So do Woodies I've demonstrated this to Woodworm dozens of times. Head down eyes down, both fly towards us, woodies land in tree above us. Head still down, eyes lock onto either species, and they come to a screating halt mid air and either turn 90'degrees left or right or head in the direction the came from Woodies see in the UV spectrum, human skin etc reflect this like a beacon Tony
  9. When you say "no Parralax" do you mean you want a standard PX scope or one that is PX'd at 30ish yards? Tony
  10. I only clean my barrel as and when the 10 shot grouping opens up As such I've cleaned my S200 about three times since 2008! Tony
  11. I've seen 17HMR and .223 litterally 'Unzip' a Fox, It is a shame they are pests really, I often see them round here, indeed one Dog Fox ran down the path before last xmas, between the queue of cars and my leg; Scarred the daylights out of me as I didn't expect it as he ran against my leg from behind me! As for whats best for them? I shot a kit on my cemetery perm a couple of years ago, before the kit flapped on the floor the Fox jumped out and grabbed my prize and legged it with it in his mush! I wouldn't have minded if he'd hung around long enough for me to get a pic! Last week I
  12. You already have my design buddy and I am still up for it Tony

  15. Don't worry about it Skot, I had planned on being at the UBC meet next weekend, but due to my memory (or lack of I would have turned up two weeks late for that!!) things fecked up big style. 17. its 8cm long and 10cm around the silencer. most silencers only hace 5 cm waist. Strange, I've got 4 silencers 2 standard type (HW & Parker Hale) 1 custom (UKN) a Twink mkII All are around 10 Circumferance which is pretty much standard! Even the X-3 (Big bugger) is 14cm. What model Hogan have you got? You've got my curiosity going now, I'll not sleep until I've solved the problem now! Tony
  18. What Diameter is it? A friend of mine got a cover thats too big for the usual size silencers.
  19. You can buy neoprene covers from eBay, some people make their own out of anything from Cycle inner tubes to camo fabric, others use camo tape thats available from gun shops or the bay, amazon etc.... Tony
  20. Roger, We usually meet and have a few beers on the Friday Evening, spend the day shooting etc on the Saturday (most people cook their own food for breakfast, dinner) A couple of beers during the day (sensibly of course!) and more on the evening around the camp fire with a good natter, then Sunday the HFT Comp. Now as there are a few more comps this year I am assuming that comps will be held throughout Saturday as well so beers will be kept to a bare minimum or non at all But part of the fun of the weekend is not knowing what comes next! Incidently Roger are you the Roger who served/tr
