Luckily I know someone who has the X3 on his gun, so I don't need to download the video. Wich is a bonus, because a 4 minute vid would take a week or more to download on this sh!tty service from Three! Tony

S200 and you make a good little team Nice work. Tony

Nice to see that one can still miss a bunny or two even with a state of the art beast such as that Nicely shot Ste, I didn't get chance to have a look through your scope at the meet, but from what I gather it has twice the field of view at a high mag? Very useful for target aquasition I've been trying to imagine how it looks does it look like erm say 50% smaller target at a set magnification? (Sounds dumb but I know what I mean even if others don't!). Tony

inconsistent combro readings..?
Phantom replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I generally seperate the stock from the action to make the parcel smaller. But yes; Thats exactly how I post guns when I need to from rifles to pistols Andyfr1968 is not too far from you, drop him a message I'm sure he'll either help you out. Tony -
That will depend on a couple of things Power output of the gun and more importantly if you Zero at such a close range will you be (how do I put this?).. Generally if you Zero at a set range, you are working on your Primary Zero (furthest point that will put the pellet where the crosshair is). And thus your secondary zero will be closer. However if you Zero your primary Zero at 15 yards then it will not land anywhere near at 40 yards. Best bet is Zero at 40 (your chosen range) and then fire at a target at 15 to see if its the same. If you do zero at 15 then I would suggest that y

inconsistent combro readings..?
Phantom replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
There is a lot of things that will effect the numbers bud Try a heavier pellet such as a Bisley Magnum and compare that with say a RWS Hobby (just to really demonstrate the variation). Some guns will bed in quicker than others, I was (as a youngster) told it could be as many as 5,000 :gulp: If you've got the brass to invest, then Sandwell Field Sports seem to be the very very best for tuning springers and most of the regs here will only trust them with their springers! I don't have a clue how much it would cost though. If you feel confidant of entering your gun and breaching the wa -

inconsistent combro readings..?
Phantom replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Yes, centre to centre I trust the Combro to keep mine on the straight and narrow. If your pellet output is consistant then the combro will show that If it's all over the place its purely because your gun is putting out different energy. The combro takes a precise measurement of speed of the pellet between point A and point B and it's processor does the math then displays it on the screen. It doesn't just take a wild guess If you want piece of mind, take it to a smiths and get them to chrono a 10 or 20 shot string and list the speed and ft/lbs. Tony -
inconsistent combro readings..?
Phantom replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Easy, It's a springer, and until it's piston has been bedded in properly it will be inconsistant. You mention it's from new, have you cleaned degreased and relubed the action? thats a starting point. Then have it tuned to perfection and your consistancy will be much better on the numbers Don't get too hung up on the numbers though, as a lot of people do! You know full well that the gun is accurate and the amount of kills you get proves your a competent shooter as well. Put in the data into CGP and you will see that there wont be to much of a variation on POI. Tony -
Love how they list the Apachie as a "Survival" rifle but then tell you it's not reccomended for hunting

Hope I didn't come across as "Having a dig!"? That was not my intention  and I appologise if this is the way it came across On the odd occasions I do 'have a go' at someone there is usually no mistaking my intent. Tony

In that case Mick, you don't need opinions, it's a WIN WIN for you Tony

the price i give for it youd have to be a lemon not to buy it But if it turns out to be a turd for you, ie you hate the blooming thing and can't get along with it, then well..... i would have asked for opinions 1st, then tried it before purchasing I've just purchased a job lot of custom parts for a rifle, I only want two parts, the rest I shall sell at a profit but only because I know people on here and my own forum want them. Daystate are a very good brand, and maybe you got lucky but there are a million users who buy a gun that turns out to be totally unsuitable for them

Why bo people buy 1st then ask for advice Kinda like buying a lemon, then proceeding to peel it and then asking if its sweet or bitter! Tony

I have three scopes that I actually use, my Lupold MK4 has long been my normal hunter. I have a Hawke 4-12x50 HD Sport (which I am waiting for the gun it was on to be returned). Decided to put it on my baby the other night instead of the MK4. The only gripe I have about it is that the IR is a little too strong even at the lowest setting. But when I used it in conjunction with my contact lenses the other night it was absolutely freaking superb In the low light it out performed the MK4. Often I have to shoot towards street lights, this is where the MK4 lets me down as I got it cheap as a s

Don't go Phil, Yes there are pricks with ears on here, but don't let them get to you Your way too valuable to us all for us to loose you. A few of us regs have been on the receiving end of these VVankers Tony

Made by AEG so its a good make Looking closely, it's primary use is for AirSoft users with 2 weight BB's However it states that it will measure up to -Muzzle velocity: 15-800 meters/second(MPS) / 50-2600 feet/second(FPS) So in FPS/MPS mode you would have to do the math to convert to ft/lbs. Tony

Yeah, I remember them Sussex, Pheonix, Battle Ordrer, remember em all A friend of mine in Coventry has a Shrine to Sussex Armouries in his house, got a fair few Jackles as well, he uses them in local HFT Comps! He even has an S200 in a Jackal stock. I made his day by sending him some of my rare SA paper Targets a year or two back. Tony

S200 MK3 silencer and Bipod Attachment
Phantom replied to Hep's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Good choice Okay, the .22 will accept an AirArms Silencer, mounted with a grub screw. You can get a UNF threaded adaptor from just about anywhere, RFD, Amazon, Ebay etc... I would reccomend a UNF adaptor (about a tenner) then you can buy a Twink MKII silencer for the gun. I've had numerous silencers on my Baby and the Twink I got last week is way better than all the others Tony
