  10. Range finding can be done accurately as long as the scope is at the appropriate magnification When you have your scope at 3x you have a very wide field of view, and just like a camera lense when it's at wide angle, everything is sharply in focus even with a wide apature. This effect is called Depth of field. However the longer the camera lense or higher magnification in the terms of a scope the Depth of Field is reduced dramatically. I'm sure you've seen the photographs of something like a close up of a footballer where the player and the ball is perfectly focused and the players behind
  11. Hi Barry, Having a custom scope would probably break the bank! Also the physics of light need to be understood, the bigger the objective (light gathering) lense is limited in 'usefull' size boils down to the amount of dialation of the users own eye has! It's pointless going over 56 or 60 mm's with a scope. There was an article in a magazine recently explaining the basics of scope height and it mentions the size of pupils etc Page 74 of Airgun World May 2012 issue. The Paragraph headed SCOPE. Tony

Neither am I but I also know that it is customary to celebrate her birthday on the 2nd Saturday in June! ie while we are in Nottingham for the meet Guess thats the advantage of being top of the toft's, have em as and when you want depending on the weather According to some historians the Spencer family had more right to the throne of England than the Windsors!
