Tell her the local Foxes nick em But seriously, try decoys, Maggies, crows and especially an owl decoy over/near a split dead bunny! Keep well hidden. Bread etc will bring em in, but if they so much as glance at you, they are outta there! If you get chance to drop a squirrel, use it with a little cotton or fishing line tied to its tail, pull the line now and again, this gives the illusion of a fresh carcase for the quarry to enjoy Tony

No wonder your trucks falling to pieces   Tony

[ I know what you mean, my last group with the Beast was about 5inches at 30 yards A far cry from the 10shot sub 1 inch that I used to produce with it! I used to use Dunc's when they were in Paragon Square; I'm in Cottingham now and don't know how to get to Willerby Road from here (have to rely on public transport) which is sort of daft as I used to live in Willerby and it to get to where Dunc's is now was only two roads away! Given my location, Dunc's is less than a few miles away, but transport is a nightmare. Local(ish) lad eh? Fancy a meet up? Tony

I went into the last remaining RFD within the cess pit known as Hull city centre yesterday. I required some co2 bulbs and some decent .177 Pellets. The co2 is so I can play with the QB project gun that should be here tomorrow and the pellets because I'm so out of practice with a spinger that I've decided I'll use my ASI Sniper as a 6 yard indoor "Retrainer" untill I can get out to my land again with the Beast. Anyways, this rfd looks to be winding up properly now They only had Cybergun (smk) Co2 bulbs that appeared abnormally long in the kneck, and although they had two tins

Phantom replied to tmar5h's topic in General Airgun Discussion
The Airgun Centre is now using a delivery system same or similar to the PellPax network, you should expect to recieve it (and prove who you are, where you live, your date of birth etc) when it arrives at the address you supplied. Tony -
Better off putting them up here, I know there are a couple of people after some air/co2 pistols round here. Tony

Pix showing condition? Whats the power output etc??? Tony

Once its off its off for good right? Pretty much yes, You could refit it at a later date by warming it up again and pushing it back, however you would need to take great care and probably a few attempts to get it perfectley vertical again. The removal of my forsight was permanant as it landed in the depths of my (very deep) garden pond! However! Most hunting guns now lack standard "Irons, or Open Sights" now as fitting a scope is now pretty much standard for most people, especially hunters. Tony

No, I've not bothered with BASC, they won't talk to me until I cross their palm with silver. It's not interpretation Im after though, its absolute documented fact, that I shove in front of Humberside Police and say "There you go, now about my ultra....." The ultra when they tested it came in at 13.04ft/lbs not exactly your average 20+ ft/lbs is it and far from the 60+ ft/lbs of a .22 short rimmy. I couldnt remember the barrel length so had to luck it up, it's 12 inches. How many air rifles are there with 22+ inch barrels? Tony

Paulus He may be a mod, (I'm a mod on the UBC Forum) is he a legally registered GunSmith with the relavent Home Office Documents? If so would he be willing to confirm that in writing on his headed paper and sign the paper giving names dates and contacts within the police force that allowed him to do this? If he were, we could turn the law upside down and at the same time I would get my Ultra back in no time Or would he be thinking "Oh crap, I could wind up inside for this?" Tony
-
That is not a legally documented case, who when where? That lot could have been written on "Another Site" by my daughter. Tony
-
No it can not!!, Davy; if it could be done I would have had it done by now! It can be taken back to sub12, but it remains FAC. I've been fighting to get my Ultra back, for over a year and a half now and the ONLY way I can get it back is to buy a safe, get more land, get a clean bill of health from the Dr. And apply then be granted the FAC. If someone has documented evidance to prove it can be done, I would be very happy and gratefull to see it Tony

Lovely shot Daz It almost looks like the squizzer cruled up and fell off before the shot hit it! Excellent work Tony

1st thing first Scot, Springers usually give out lower reading with hevier pellets, unlike PCP's which (due to the delivery/charge of air) which give higher readings with heavier pellets. So chrono the gun with both the lightest pellets and the heaviest pellets. The lighter ones will probably give you a higher output Then why not start with the usual suspects such as AAF's, RWS Superfields/Domes, then of course its down to your barrel Tony

I took the foresight off my 19 with a wooden mallet worked a treat with a few gentle(ish) taps to the plastic by sliding it down the barrel; But if you have access to a heat gun/hair dryer use one to warm up the plastic (wear gloves though that polymer can get mighty hot!). Tony

It's not a stupid question Chairgun will give you a very good idea of what is going on If you put in the M.E. of the gun, the pellet and the range it's trajectory map will be very accurate indeed It's a great program with loads of tools to help teach you airgun trajectories/ballistics. Even has tools to help you visualise where to aim on varying quarry and targets But.......... To find out precicely whats going on, do the Calibration as mentioned above and STOP SHOOTING AT LIVE QUARRY until you know your ranges and where to aim to put them down as often as possible with as litt

Sorry clubshot but I disagree with that - the best hunting pellet is the one with which you can hit the target with the utmost accuracy, resulting in a quick humane death with as little suffering as possible Was just about to bring that point up myself No sane person could dissagree with that Adam! Yeah I probably will Simon, I used to put 1 hole groups with it at 10Mtrs and used it on my first kill (mouse in the shed) I'm okay thanks Simon I trust you are too It's kinda hard to picture you with an 's Filofax, a flat cap and a gun overyour arm and a pair of field glasses round your neck Tony

Got one Here Simon .177 running about 3to5 ft/lbs complete with 30 shot Tubular magazine Quite a great little concept back the eh? Tried to sell it a few times but people dont seem to appreciate them Tony

witch cal for me ?!? help me
Phantom replied to tmar5h's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
At the risk of sounding abrupt or sounding like a c**t, if you require a follow up on all your shooting, you need to forget shooting on quarry and go backto paper targets Sure we've all had the odd wounding (this is where a multishot comes into it's own) but when shooting quarry, it should be the exception rather than the rule At 35 yards/meters, the Ultra will perform well, as will most guns made these day's But a shooter must always remember tha "HE/SHE" is the weakest link fi you do your part properly, the gun will do it's part with very little (if any) fault. Most people that tried these pellets in their rifles (very wide selection or rifles) in Nottingham earlier this year, were not impressed at all I don't know of one person (but surely there was at least one fan other than the sellers?) who gave them a possitive assessment? Tony Open to correction as always
