  1. Fercough, cough, cough! There is room for both PCP and Springers in this world of ours It's like saying a .25 is better than a .22 or a .177 is better than a .20 We is all equal in our destiny to pop off the vermin The ONLY looser is a .303 sub 12
  2. Tut tut tut! Wrong backstop, the idea with shooting flies is to put a nice clean hole in the paper so it looks like a six legged hole   Lovely splatting em at range aint it :victory: Well done Tony
  3. Try this BPR http://www.ebay.co.u...black&_osacat=0 Tony
  4. K'in Ell Simon! You got more than the usual that the rest of us have had from her Most of the UBC got this: "Dear ....... Thank you for taking the time to respond to our consultation. Royal Mail will review all responses before a final decision is made. Yours sincerely Zoe Allchorn" Here is what another UBC member got from his MP And the most encouraging remark was from Ofcom who replied to one of our members with ".... Ofcom does not approve the Schemes that Royal Mail proposes although we do have the power under Section 89A of the Act to direct
  5. I was thinking the same Archie NOW Fortunately for you BPR; a member of the UBC (litterally day before yesterday) posted a great guide to Blueing Here it is : I hope you find this usefull Tony
  6. Hows it Going Roger? I trust you have begun your treatment now? Look forward to seeing you soon buddy Tony
  7. Some landlords may get in a strop if there is constant noise complaints! others won't give a hoot as long as your within the law Tony
  8. It's not even had 40 pellets through it yet, so think it will be ok for now, but I'll definately keep an eye on it Yes :yes Chrono it regularly Depends on the council EYRC whome I was under was generally tollerant as long as I kept within the law and didn't cause distress or noise nusiance They are complaining of the noise caused by the pellet hitting home or the noise created as your targets fall. Tony
  9. Considder yourself very lucky Many Police officers would use the chance to take into custody your guns and send them away for testing in the hope of an easy +1 on their file Luckily there are some decent level headed officers who are able to see beyond the scaremongering from the media Watch the noise complaint though if you live in a council house or housing association Even in private accomodation though. the council can make it awkward, if not difficult to continue. The fact that the Police are not concearned with your shooting goes imensley in your favour though Tony
  10. It used to be soooo easy when travelling by British Rail to transport a gun, but since privatisation its a fecking nightmare!
  11. Scot, A word to the wise bud, Traveling with guns via the rail networks is a complicated business You would need permission of all the rail networks that we pass through to carry your guns openly Chances are that one or more networks (depending on the person who opens the mail, time of the month, how heavy her periods are, anti-gun etc) will refuse to grant authorisation! Sooooo It is a good idea to make sure that your gun can not be fired so I would reccomend that you seperate the action from the stock and pack it inside your backpack, ruckseack luggage or whatever, thus no one will
  12. Legally..... As long as your pellet does not leave your boundry your fine Unfortunately...... Should your moaning minnie neighbour complain to the police, you will be paid a vist! But heres the kicker (right in the nuts), if she claims to the police that she feels endangered, you are then comitting an offence and can (although I've not actually heard of anyone) be prosecuted have you a silencer on the gun? If so you may be better off shooting paper targets with a lead sheet or sand behind them to muffle the impact Tony
  13. Thank you Scot. Thats a shame Craig I was looking forward to meeting you Tony
  14. So it wasn't actually a chest shot then If you'd originally said it was shot from below, I would not have questioned your shooting technique Tony
  15. Forgive me for saying so but....... Shooting Woodies with chest shots is not acceptable Ferrals yes, Woodies no! and I know that the regulars on here will agree with me on this point. Why? Because Woodies have both a huge amount of Muscle mass on their chest and behind that a bloody tough Chestbone, that acts as a freaking strong shield at 30 yards a head shot/neck shot would have been a far preferable shot! I'd have your gun chronoed I know some would disagree but we aim for the most humane possible dispatch of our quarry do we not? As for the rest? Well done T

  21. Looks great Chris. As you say, it's difficult to produce a unique style of stock these days, but I guess there aint many stocks made out of that particular wood. That wood "feel's" great in the hand. Tony
