  1. Only 5 hours without quarry I can often spend a day laid up over a set of active warrens and dont see sod all. I'm sure they hear the noise of the cemetery gate and my footprints when I enter, followed up by a few zeroing shots then its "Eyeup lads n lasses, best stay down till he fecks off again!" Go there to visit the family graves though without a gun and they are more than happy to play or sun themselves in full view of me. Pesky wabbits Tony
  2. Peel em when they are cold (much easier) they are hard to do when warm. Slow cook for a couple of hours and the meat is excuiset (sp?) Tony
  3. Only seen one living Jay and that was at the Sidings when I stayed in Germany with Si and Lj None whatsoever in the UK Get it stuffed and mounted Mike, they are beautifull creatures. Tony
  4. Ouch!! What are the rules in RoI regarding purchasing direct from an other person? Is it possible to skip the middleman dealer? If so then it would I think make it considderably cheaper to do so. And you wouldn't have to pay import duty if it comes from another EU country (as far as I am aware). Tony
  5. I dont see why there would be a problem for a dealer. Rep of Ireland is part of the EU so its 'its free trade rules' with other EU members apply Tony
  6. Hi Davy, Someone reported my pix as being "Cruelty to Animals" on Tinypic They agreed and deleted all my albums. I complained and told them that the images were used to illustrate essays and educate pest controllers and hunters the world over about certain subject matter. They told me "Oh sorry, well you can re-upload everything again if you wish" Lke feck I was so I moved to Photobucket and made my albums private. I guess it won't be long before they get round to banning any video that contains a gun! Like I said on another thread recently "I am f*****g fed up of all the f*****g medi
  7. I emailed Clive Rees, He didn't seem too interested I have still not heard anything from the Council (but then when they are wrong they dont like to admit it!) So I take this as something Positive Having emailed BASC, although they cant comment until I become a member (as I expected) next week, the lady that replied to my mail sent me a couple of PDF documents One of these Documents has been written in co-operation from BASC and the National Landlords Association and it is entitled "Firearms Storage in Rented Accommodation" Together, these documents that quote passages from both S
  8. I'd agree that it sounds a little over the top price wise, however after only a couple of hundred pellets I'd still be expecting it to be dieseling and it will take a lot more than a couple of hundred pellets to bed the gun in more like a couple of tins! Remember, you had the gun serviced and not tuned. Tony
  9. T'was a fantastic weekend Funilly enough though the highpoint for me (apart from meeting up with old and new friinds and a gorgeous blond trying to drag me into her sleepingbag at 03:30 am (cuz my tent was fecked and she didnt want me to get cold or float off down river on my inflatable airbed )) was that little trip with Wurz watching him move silently through the forrest was great, and suddenly I was very aware that my stalking skills have been seriously neglected and almost ever step I took was heard That almost vertical killshot at 22-25 yards high was a cracker as well Aws
  10. So who do we think this one is guy's?
  11. Dunno about on here, but on my forum, I only remove PM's from someone for being a lil sh!t, harrassment etc.... You are much more likely to get a response by contacting a mod or admin than you are from asking us lot though Tony
  12. Wurz you dont want to know what a GAM is around these parts
  13. Only advice I can offer is: DONT shoot the sensors, it can be an expense I'm using a Combro for personal use ;-) But would like a Skan if money is ever plentifull Tony
  14. Great Pix Roger And I'm very happy you managed to keep me out of most of them Tony
  15. I've often quoted that line from "Sing a song of Sixpence" Branchers are known as Squabs and there are many recipies out there for Squab Pie, stew etc... Is that the one out of the airgun mag a month or so back? I've got other ones in an archive file somewhere, along with Dog, Cat, Rat, Snake etc. etc.... Tony
  16. Shame I'm not closer Ron I'd happilly spend a week or so building up my stocks of such fine meat and pelts Tony
  17. It may look like a wing of an old Cortina after a side on hit, but feck she's so sweet aint she? That Woody at 22-25 yards almost verical showed the quality of the gun, the marksmanship and the tuning Nice work Andy Tony
  18. Not to mention the puffing out of tents and sleeping bags as the noxious gasses from the beer and burgers work their way through peoples systems Wurz can you do me some more ink? I'll do a small drawing to complement the last one Tony
  19. At Sub12 Ron, airgun pellets do not gather enough momentum to effectively expand, the only real expansion you will see is the skirt when the air pushes it out of the breech which is why pellets generally have such thin skirts, so they can expand into the rifling of the barrel. Its a marketing ploy to get you to part with cash Tony
  20. Hi, Im not up on the differances of your FA Laws compared to ours. I'd pop along to the Police Station and ask to speak to someone in the Firearms unit. Explain your intentions and ask what proof of competances you need, you may just need to do a basic safety course for handling etc... It could also just be that a referance from a club or landowner may suffice. Again I dont know the differances, but here in the UK, a gunsafe in a shed (even bolted to concrete floor) would not be tolerated these days as we need burglar alarms etc to cover the shell before they get to the safe! If you k
  21. Good to see you up and about again buddy Just take it easy, you dont want it to go on you again Tony
  22. Cheers Ron, I'll get to all the PM's later I've finally got everything unpacked and yes I am missing my Twink  Davy can you PM me your paypal email address please and as per text, we can sort it Finally I have aquired a DPM Poncho from somewhere, it's not mine as mine is still folded up in the pocket of my jacket and this one is identical to the two I had stolen a year or so back when my tent and sleeping bags got nicked. As my bag was near the wood we were burning, I think I have an Idea of who it belongs to. Let me know and I'll post it off to its righfull owner
  23. Nice shot, You are correct instant death, very humane Sometimes the heart will take a couple of beets before it shuts down, so you get what looks like a fair amount of blood pumped out of the wound and of course with it being liquid, it spreads making it look worse than it is. So dont worry about how it looks. Tony
  24. Thanks Whizzie I have just been looking at my original Tennancy, it was a non-secure tennancy as this place was supposed to be a stop-gap emergancy accomodation for 28 days only (yet here I am almost two years later!). After a few months they gave me a secure tenancy of the place. Funny how the original non-secure documents dont mention guns or weapons, being either FAC or not! You've certainly helped put my mind at ease and thanks for the above and the PM. I'm now more sure than ever of a positive outcome Tony
  25. Better than that blooming dress and lipstick It was a great weekend and it was lovely to meet you and the other 'Virgins' as well as the old hands We got it covered now bud, thanks for letting Davy know It's a bit special that Twink, it's fitted with a unique feature called a 'Dink' I may grow old, I may even loose my teeth and I may even loose whats left of my hair, but I'll never loose my mind I know this is impossible because it left me and ran off with another a few years ago Same here Tony
