  1. Yep thats the one Wurz I ordered a set of four coloured lenses for less than a fiver, used the red one instead of the red plastic filter I've been using. Worked well as it allowed even more of the light through for a further throw. If conditions allow I'll be out with it again tomorrow. Phantom

  5. WAIT a cotten picken moment Buddy, If I remember correctly out of the four or five shot; you were the one who managed to retrieve a perfectly sweet noggin shot on a fecking big bunnies head? I was hoping to be out tonigt at the Paddock and Cemy, but the electrical storm said I must go get my supply of cans and supp til I drop I'm now ready to drop (15 cans later I feel a little sick!) Phantom
  6. I have a 19 myself as my preffered springer (apart from the trigger being a lil rough, its an excellant rifle) based on the Gamo Hunter (based on a HW!) Shot my 1st bunny with it And have never looked back Only reason I dont shoot it so much now is I have knckered finger tips and the pressure of the trigger (until I replace it with a GRTIII) makes my fingers bleed To reduce the "Twang" I got a couple of felt pads (felt feet for furniture from Wilkinsons) and pkaced acouple of pieces between the action and the stock Made a hell of a difference Cheap it may b;, But by he

  9. You gonna point us in the right diection Stealthy my good buddy? I'm in need of a refresher cuz the darkness is drawing in fast and furious Been a while since I did any lamping (apart from the last couple of nights with Dillan). ONLY thing I can suggest if you dont have anyone to show you how its done is PRACTICE, Practice and then practice some more Took me a year to figure it out (cuz I didn't have any one to show me) but it paid dividends Phantom
  10. Why the ell' didn't you say you were so close to Dillan and I? Nearest place to me that will fill a dive bottle is at Hessle Station 3 stops from you by rail. I'm in Brough just down the road from you. Do you have a permission? if not your welcome to come over here and try a couple of mine Phantom

Of course it is Milk is revolting be it from Man or beast (my mother is included in the beast) :11: Phantom
  13. I agree, but what got me is this guy is saying his 'pellets' killing power is crap and we all know that a decent well placed shot will kill a bunny with less than 4ft/lbs of energy Come to think of it, I've hit a bunny in the noggin with less than 2 ft/lbs KE and its an outright kill with a pistol at PBR! To me it seems like this guy is paying no attention to Kill Zones. He hopes that a sub12 .177 will have the same effect as a Hypersonic 17HMR! Phantom

Ahhh I get you now I for one; only ever take headshots (as close to the cerabellum as possible) on any adult animal. However on young kits, I found that a headshot would destroy the brain but still have them flapping around, even when (as one of my images show) the soft brain matter was hanging out of the exit wound. this disturbed me enough (even though I knew full well the kits were dead and it was just nerve impulses making it jump) to considder another killzone. In the end if the kit is under 5 inches (I don't shoot animals for sport its either pest control, damage limitation or fo
  15. Hey Matt, I get your point buddy; but I'm happy to take the mick out of anyone, including myself (and often do). Race, religion, blonde, brunette, I take it all and give all in jest only I have been on the recieving end of racism; and I hate it with a vengance; even members of THL thought I was Asian (their words not mine) to start with, I didn't take it as abusive though. I have had allsorts thrown at me; And to cap it all (believe it or not) I am a Christened; Athiest, Jew ( and I don't lie when I say "there aint many of us about!!") I've been called a Jewbag, a Paki, a Coon

Awww' C'mon; don't be a spoil sport; I've just finished reading the rest of the 4 pages and I'm still GENUINELY interested why a recommendation should be taken as gospel? As Ian mentioned we all have our own opinions and I believe its reasonable to 'share' those opinions without trying to force them down others throats I would like to hear your opinions; never know you may convert me Oh; Take it from me; cheap red just won't do the meat any justice at all if your gonna use such a fine meat, then use a fine wine as well It really will pay dividends with the flavour Phantom

I dont know why its a recommendation, Appeasment to the Anties perhaps Guess you'll have to ask the guy or girl that wrote the "Recommendation", it certainly is not because it is a larger animal and should not be shot with an air rifle. My gut feelings is its down to the snobbery; meaning that GAME must not be shot with an Air Rifle. But in actual fact I personally would prefere to shoot a hare or a bunny with an Air, Rimmy or Centre fire rather than a hit and miss shotgun. Its all to easy to wound an animal with a shotty if your marksmanship is not up to scratch, where as a single bu
  19. :11: Come on Matt, were all Human buddy; nowt wrong with a joke Even if some wish to call it racist ! I'm sure your familiar with "The English man, Irish man and Scotish man" Jokes and had plenty of laughs when they were fasionable? I called my black bunny Linford because of the speed it ran and I waited best part of 6 months before he stood still long enough for the opportunity to shoot it Phantom
  20. Seen a few Black bunnies, shot one (Linford) Still got a couple to go I've not seen an Albino in the wild, but I've seen a white and brown one, never did get another chance to shoot the bugger Seen a few Fawn coloured ones as well. I'm hoping that the next two pieces of land I have my eyes on will pay dividends in the coloured ones as they used to back onto a farm who also used to breed pet bunnies When the Farm went, coloured bunnies appeared all over these two fields Phantom
  21. KILLING POWER? WTF is Killing Power? If the "killing power" is crap with one type of pellet in your gun, then its gonna be the same with any pellet in your gun, because its the gun that propels the lead forward and its a combination of the feet per second (that the pellet is travelling at) and the weight of the pellet and the distance to target that creates the (what I assume is what you are calling the) "Killing Power" So if your gun is running at 11ft/lbs with the Daystate FT Select at 8.44grains and the distance to your target was 35 yards the Kinetic Energy would be 7.251 ft/l
  22. Boppin bunnies with the old man eh? Wish my kids were interested. Good going, just on little nit pick though, Rotate your pic's for me, my neck got a crink now SPA Phantom
  23. What a bummer Don't you just hate it when the best target is off permission I think you need to find the L.O and tell him he's got a bunny problem Phantom
  24. Nice shooting Chaz & Davy Love the footage, that bunny must have been trying for the commonwealth games High Jump me thinks Phantom
