Dog lads on the whole wether from town or country respect and understand the countryside mate. the problem i have is when a bunch of city idiots buy all the houses as second homes and then moan about the smell of a farm or cockerals that crow too early! :realmad: They are wankers mate plain and simple :realmad: Real country people cant afford to live their anymore, if i had my way mate id get rid of them and move all the people like yourself, who live in towns etc but who appreciate the country for what it is.

i dont know of anyone who owns or works this cross,and i cant understand why anyone would.using american pitbull in lurcher breeding,is going backwards,not forwards.we should be striving to breed lurchers with brains, good feet,good coats,and less aggression,dogs like these cant be classed as allround hunters.if its pig hunting you do,then these would do the job, but each to their own.regards collie john. My wifes parents used to run a bussines, mostly moles, rats rabbits etc but wasps and ants aswell, never made them a fortune but they enjoyed it(most of the time)Pm me and ill give you their number, they will tell you all about it

Just been reading an article in the paper about the Gerbil breeders who were targeted by the animal rights nutters for supplying huntingdon life science. I know everyone will have different opinions on animal testing but thats not my issue, what made me think was the way these nutters are always described as animal rights "activists" Now these people have done some pretty extreme stuff in the names of the animals, firebombing houses, targetting peoples kids and then digging up and removing an old ladies corpse from her grave. We ve all got different methods so how people do things isnt an issue to me so long as people have got the balls to stand by the way they do things. To me the genuine guys give their dogs the respect they deserve and dont treat them as objects to be bought/ sold or(as i saw on here a while ago) :realmad: swapped :realmad:

What you do with your dog is your own bussiness. I think its a bit rich of some people on here though to discredit people for saying that it should be put down,legally it should. I have never heard of anyone on this site defending the actions of a fox killing spring lambs,and we all(myself included) call it pest control when we cull the fox in whatever way. In my opinion a dog that has started to kill stock is itself a pest, and so should also be culled. This is only my opinion, but if it were my land/animals then it would be a long time before i gave permission to anybody with working dogs

Just mooching around with the dogs and the camera this afternoon.Thought this pic sums up what my dogs do all summer, I know we all get bored this time of year but i reckon it does the dogs good. Still, cant wait to get them working in the autumn

This is a fair point mate If an entire line was saturated with top class dogs then it would be far less of a chance to breed from a non working member, if however you were just trying to reproduce one good dogs attributes from a possibly genetically distant sibling then i still beleive it would not e worth the risk -
This is my bitch, shes Belgian shepard/grey/collie/whippet She is the daughter of a dog owned by Greg from this site who is straight Belgian/grey(Groenedal) He is an excellent dog by all accounts and i am more than happy with mine. Hope this helps
