  1. Take it to your local shop,or gun club, and watch how they put the air in from the divers bottle, its a simple procedure, but potentially very dangerous if done incorrectly.I would recommend a divers bottle in preference to a pump,if and when you decide to get your own.
  2. I'm with pockets on this one.Lots of terriers get ruined by entering to early.
  3. i had permission with me from landowner i had finished shooting on was on way home i was about 2 miles away from home about 5am i got pulled over by police they said to me they was a few burglaries in the area so they checked my car over, in boot was my rifle in case in boot unloaded pellets was even in glove box they missed,so they said to me we are taking rifle for testing I don't see any grounds for them to be confiscating your rifle mate. You had written permission, the gun was in a case, and you had not committed any offence, sounds like a fit up to me. If you any gun in you

  9. Had the same happen to me mate at sand point near Weston.Parked the car to go fishing came back 5 hours later to find all the windows smashed, dead end miles from anywhere so the c**ts must have gone to the trouble of driving there, and they didn't take anything.Had to drive over a 100 miles with just a windscreen. Bit of a long shot, but i hope you catch up with them.

Doesen't look like it could catch a cold to me. Only kidding mate, nice pic.
  12. I usually just push my fingers in the scissors, and fire it down, but if the mouth is swollen,i wouldn't recommend that technique.I'd crush it and put it in a 0.5 ml of warm water, then use a syringe (small one 0.1-1 ml) just push it gently to the back of the mouth, and squirt it in.
  13. Dioralyte, most chemists stock it,its for treating diahorrea in kids.
  14. Please dont insult my intelligence. I'm not going to apologise for putting my child first. Save your cliches until you know what the full circumstances are. I've identified the issue and am putting it right the way i think to be best. Alternatively, if anyone wants to pop over to help me out please feel free. he is a stunner though, always draws comments. And don't insult mine! you quite clearly "didn't think it through" before you took the dog on.You made a mistake, and now the dog is being "moved on".A little more thought before you put yourself and the dog in this situation might

  18. Straight in at the deep end for mine, about the dogs own height, and NO barbed wire.I believe if the dog has it too easy at the start they get complacent, and thats when accidents happen.I like mine to have to think about it before they jump, that way i think they are less likely to take on more than they can safely handle.JMO
  19. My old man kept 1stx and 5/8x3/8,all his life, and he died at 73.He would not keep any other x.I have a 5/8x3/8 here who is semi retired,no world beater but an efficient worker on all quarry pre ban.My old man kept both, his thoughts were the 1stx more brains and stamina,5/8x3/8 more speed and drive.JMO

Hey up Bill, I've the same book and it is a good read. The fella has seen "life" and not only hunting . Enjoyed last night Hey up Al I love the chapter where him and his mate get caught with the stag and it has to stay in the cells as well, crackin read mate.
  22. Precharge is far easier to shoot accurately, quieter, and most will double up as a target gun,if that floats yer boat.Downside is they need an air supply, which adds to the initial cost. Springer is self contained, needs no charge, but are noisier and take more skill to hit the target. If i was after my first gun,id go for a second hand AirArms S200.For £300,you would get a used S200 in good condition, with scope and bag,and probably still have enough left to get a second hand divers bottle.HTH's Bill
