Yes licence avoidance will always happen but it also makes things difficult for the uneducated dog owners and maybe it would minimise dog attacks and at least give the authorities some power to do something about it. Do you remember licences at I think seven and six or something like that (f--k and I am only 39) wernt they 37 & half pence or some such amount i only just remember shillings & ten bobs & i am older that you , it seems the sort of people who neglect through ignorence are usually adults & have multi species households , you know what i mean cats mainly

I know Gaz,i should have finished my rant at the weekend,but i'm still smarting.Flicked through the rags Sunday,not a mention of the Scotland game,just more s***e about the BIG game with Croatia I was watching Inside Sport last night,and Paul Parker (former England international) hit the nail on the head.Quote "England team and the media have no respect for other teams,they seem to think they are better than everybody,and that they should be winning world cups,when actually they are not a very good side,and very overated" Straight from the horse's mouth.

Bread poultice Have used it on myself my dogs,and i know of somone who regularly uses it on rescued birds,to remove bumbles.Lots of different recipes,mine is 2 slices of white bread with crusts removed,teaspoon of salt,and teaspoon of sugar.Break bread up in to bowl,add boiling water,and stir to a mush.Once cooled enough to handle,squeeze out excess water,untill you are left with a thick paste.Apply this to a bandage,and place paste directly to wound,and bandage enough to stop the dog from getting at it.As the paste dries,it will draw almost anything from the wound,including any puss,or dirt

Come home, check weather forecast,put lamp and other gear out ready,eat dinner,have a glass of wine,change clothes,open door,and its P***ING DOWN!! Now i know weather forecasting is not an exact science,and i'll accept they sometimes get it wrong,but to forecast,any remaining showers should clear by late afternoon,leaving a clear chilly evening,with further rain expected in the early hours.Its been dry since lunchtime,and the rain started about 5 minutes ago

My favourite x.I bought mine purely for ferreting,rabbits (day and night) and rats.Mines 10 months old,and has been ferreting with me for the last couple of months,and doing a good job,and was taking rats at 6 months.If i wanted a dog for bigger stuff i wouldn't of had a beddyxwhippet as my first choice.I've seen more than one take charlie single handed (pre ban) and they are brave dogs,but they couldn't do the job as well as a bigger dog.As for spirit,they aren't lacking,my pup will not back down,and i've had to pull her off the terrier on more than one occasion.When out running she would jus

i,m english and i agree with you. i dont know about any others but when england get knocked out of any cup or fail to qualify,i always root for the jocks or the paddies, or both if they are both still in . Nice one mate

bill i saw the highlites this morning on the news and yes i agree scotland were robbed, i would like to point out the fact i aint into football and never will be, i disagree with the violance and i agree that they are over paid, and to watch 22 men kick a bag of wind is nothing compared to going out and watching my bird/dogs/ferrets working, for most it isnt about having the best team, its who's got the best firm, football isnt for me Bullet,i love football mate,but its a far cry from the game i used to play and watch as a kid.The wages are absolutely ridiculous now (John Terry £150.

David i'm nothing if not honest.I'll admit i get into the odd debate about this and that,but people know where they stand with me.Simple fact is England used to have a decent football team (i hate to say it,but thats the truth) we haven't had a decent team since the early 's,but now we do.I am not going to come on here and be mocked for speaking the truth.The England football team are a shower of overpaid,self promoting,media hyped shite.Scotland are a team of average talent,who work hard,and run there legs of till they drop,for there country.We were robbed!!

One of mine sliced a pad,and it just kept splitting again,even when rested for a couple of weeks.Amate put me onto this (BEPANTHEN) its for treating nappy rash,and also recommended by tattoists.It'll soften the pad and help it heal more slowly,which in turn will prevent the pad reopening.HTH's,Bill
