    My other half as decided to have chickens in the back garden,she as a 6x4 shed with a run attached which is 7ft long and 6ft wide is this ok to keep chucks in,sorry if its a daft question but its the first chickens we have had.Also what type of chicken should she go for ie good egg layers,easy to look after. And last questions what type of foods do you feed them on ie corn,layers mash etc.And could anyone recommend a good book on chickens.Thanks MTP

    My first ever rabbit i shot many moons ago...............i had a bsa supersport with telescopic sights on,i could not hit feck all with them so in a moment of anger i took them off and chucked them in a river(relising now you have to zero them in )so all i had was the open sights that came with the rifle,went back home put them on and went back out again,i was just coming to the gate when i looked over and there was a young rabbit just sat there so i ducked behind the wall to load up and then slowly peeked over the wall,it was still there,i took aim,i was all over the place could not keep the

    Are you going to put something round it so people don't get to close or touch it,i am speaking from experence,i went to a garge to deliver some bits and while waiting for the owner to pay i leaned on what i thought was a metel box,unbeknown to me it had a fire inside,JESUS my hand was stuck to it the pain was unbearable,pulling my hand up and leaving some skin behind,WORST PAIN KNOW TO MAN :laugh:still have a few little scars to this day

    Ye 1hr 1/2? No just over 25 Mins from lighting with cold water in the kettle which I don't think is that bad!? Should be Spot on for slow cooking the dogs stew! 25 mins thats 3 cups of tea . Well done mate you have done a cracking job there

    Why is it when somebody mentions shooting hares the lurcher lads are up in arms about it.You still get 1 for the pot weather its shot coursed or snared.Why is it most people think the only way to catch a hare is with a dog??

    I bought a video camera at a car boot with all the gear and tapes,tried the tapes and one had, shall we say, a x rated home movie on of the guy and his wife who sold me the camera .I went back the week after and gave him the tape back,lets just say it was embarassing for both partys.As i walked away i turned round and boy was he getting it in the neck

    Nice going chap I see you got the little safty catch on your 110,they make setting them a bit easier don't they?used to scare me sometimes when setting them and you had to keep hold of the dog,i have had a few near misses with them,not now though with the safty catch

    Hi mate i use a wire netting staple for securing the trap.Just put the trap chain under the side of your cubby with the big ring pressed againest the side of the wood and knock a staple in,over the ring and in to the wood.I find in some places you can not get a peg in the ground like in grain barns,so with the trap stapled to the cubby its going no where. Well done mate and keep at it Has for removing the dead rats from the traps.....ALWAYS,ALWAYS wear gloves.
