  1. Peddler , Greenhorn is stsrting to be your favourite saying are you one??????? As I've already stated who know me , know . So if your medicating for cocci are you precautionary treating or are you treating when you think you've got it. Your starting to contradict what your saying here?
  2. So do you kill all birds what get cocci? As for selling fowl the few people I know , Know the score, As for your little digs you keep digging the hole only ever gets deeper.
  3. The lad asked for help, advice I gave him opinions half of the people keeping chickens wouldn't even know they had problems until its too late. Like usual you always pick fault unless your the one giving advice. Where did we say it was broodfowl and who cares if it is. You stated kneck it when if the truth you haven't a clue how to treat it. Try getting hold of a book called back yard flock. It might help to understand whst medication treats what when someone asks for advice instead of just telling em to kneck it.You dont have to suffer from disease to understand how medication works. It makes
  4. Like to add anything can transfer diseases, pheasants , crows all wild birds etc. I'm a big believer that untreated worms (gapes) advances onto respiratory infections in birds. Also the only medication whats licenced to treat mycoplasma is avilosin but all what I've mentioned above will treat it.
  5. Did they have water when out side. Sounds to me that they've eaten chick crumb and had no water to wash it down with.
  6. Tylan, Licospectrum, avilosin, Pulmatil will all treat this infection. As for killing everything dont be daft and its stupid advice get it treated then you know where you stand.
  7. I'd after disagree with that one burnie I've seen it grow out on meny ocassion with the skin removed the best method I found to be was to take the burned head match stick and press it thought but it's much easier to cut the webbing out.... And wing band them at tow weeks.... Uk well I thought you'd have to disagree. I don't have any problems and I have toe punched enough to know how to do it properly. But we all have our own way of doing things. we certainly do mate...... And that's what makes it so intreasting is it not? UkYep but I wouldn't do it if I thought it didn't work. I should of a

  9. The only reason the hole will grow back is if you don't remove the piece of skin what you punch out. That's if your using a proper toe punch.
  10. £3.20p is a good price for 7 week old poults
  11. Pot poacher have you got it on a level surface? If its level the humidity pump and fan is all working properly there should be no reason moisture should settle in one corner. Also after each hatch take the bottom away and tip the water what collect in the inner sleeve away.
  12. I bought a hygro-thermometer .It does temp and humidity . Turn in on put it inside and let it get a true reading .Then calibrate your incubator to what the thermometer says. It might be bang on and should be. I've bought 3 from P and T poultry and only my r-com 50 was out. But the start of every hatching season I re do them. The sticker on the glass of the incubator tells you what button to press to re-calibrate it.
  13. I have the R-com 50 and the 20. Both do a fantastic job. The only problem I had was when it was new my hatch rates were poor. I rang up the supplier and he told me it needed calibrating before I used it. This was not mentioned in the instructions and when I ordered it. After I did it was spot on.
  14. Sorry to hear that DB. I had the same 2 years ago and like yours mine were very distinctive and I keep looking but not seen a feather since. As the others say they need there hands chopping off.
  15. Just the end of eggs matey. Theres no reason why it can't live with out laying.
  16. Spot on Butler. They've only got so many like you said . They don't reproduce inside em. Watched a vet do a PM on some deads birds once and he talked us through everything inside. If i'm honest it was very interesting as well as helpful. Apart from the smell
  17. My 8 year old got bitten this time around by a field vole. We was taking rearing sheds down and they take refuse under the floors. Some have 5-6 under them every time he saw one he would try his hardest to catch one. This particular day he manage to hold one under his foot and pick it up by its tail anyway in the process he got bitten on the palm of the hand. Obviously being his dad it was my fault and I didn't get spoken to for the rest of the day.
  18. Ott theres enough people on here can vouch I'm no scumbag fowl thief. Apology accepted. By the way the Clarets were Moore bred.
  19. Jfd, the more you look into the breeds the more your head will spin. But remember most of the breeds are mainly names of people who kept them and they would have to got them from somebody. Its good to look at the book ott mentioned you'll see a lot of fowl are very similar bred but have been added to over the years to get there so called line of fowl.
  20. Good read. I'll just set the record straight hopefully without it turning into a slanging match and the topic getting locked. I ask the question about ott reds being clarets blood because I once had a line of clarets that resembled ott reds. Not in any way was I instigating these was my birds I wasn't and they aren't. I had these birds taken along with 2 other familys all the broodfowl and youngsters in one night. Ott you've some nice fowl and I won't take that away from you . Ukroosterman your putting some good articles up. So all i'll say on the matter I'm against the scumbag fowl thieves
  21. Your a very offensive man ott you thought about having anger management. What traveller camp was it you are off.
  22. Why would I be interested in your breeding. I asked a question they look line a line of clarets I use to keep until the scumbags wiped them out. You questioned how long i'd be keeping fowl it seemed i'd touched a nerve in asking. Never heard of the fowl you have . As I said i'm only interested in the fowl I use to keep not the fowl anybody else keeps. By the way whats a dunghill a packet of fags
  23. Erron boy grow up ott .As for being robbed by gypo's I too know what it feels like. Gifted fowl with life times of breeding all took in the dark of night by dirty scumbags. As for meeting you in Skipton its miles away for me and I've better things to do with my time. I'm a lover not a fighter
