  1. looks like 11 to me, I use 18. You two are obviously new to the net making game ...Just because there's only a dozen or so knots on a ring doesn't mean it's only that many mesh's wide. A lot of the net makers on here make proper nets, starting at a dozen maybe then going out to the desired size and then back into a dozen saves a lot of time and materials that way Mike and the nets are still as good as a full 18, 24 or whyatever continuous meshed net. they look smart nets Nik and i like the idea of the D rings. i do like the bright nets, alot of my ferreting is shitty ground
  2. most of my lamping is on my own but what little i've done i found its best to go on your own. too much "why arnt you slipping her, i'll run mine if you'r not". we all have our own way of doing things and figure out whats best for us and our type of dogs but you still get folk thinking they know your dog better. cant see the attraction of going out with a couple of dogs regularly unless your packed with game one couldnt handle the pace. when you go on your own and you get no nonsense, no dog straining on the slip waitng there turn just a few bunnys and relaxed time...if your lucky
  3. sure that was advertised on racing uk a day or two ago. you need to deposit a minumum of 100 quid in your account to get the 25 quid iirc. i remember when the cheltnam festival was on ladbrokes were doing the same but giving you 100 quid in bets.
  4. well done Kye, any pics pf the fight?
  5. doesnt look like they have, get that post edited if i was you...
  6. not really the most sporting thing to do! if it was my pup, id rather start it when it has a real chance and is more developed. id edit the post aswell or i can see it getting pulled!
  7. whats these sites then Kay?? no links to anyones facebook pages then??
  8. sounds good ive been using the car job and went out with me mate weekend and saw the power difference so need one ive been missing out lol cheers shouldn't be any difference in power from the batts, just with most car batts there 42 amp upwards so chargeing a little 7ah too quick with the car charger the plates will warp in the battery over a quicker time compared to a charger desighned to be used with the smaller batts. cheers,
  9. I got one for my night stalker and my bitch who is still learning her night time trade was appauling when i used it, she wouldnt even look down the beam. as soon as i lost the filter she started catching. it maybe because she is young and still learning but i dont use them. most folk spot the quarry using the red and run the dog on the white..
  10. anyone tryed making turbo cider. seems simple enough, few litres of apple juice, spoon full of yeast and add more sugar if you want it stronger. i've just got a litre fermenting using turbo yeast and a few spoon fulls of sugar but think i need to boil the juice first to kill the preservatives - its not fermenting as fast as a sugar water mash usually does but still going.... slowly.
  11. i bought a deben one begining of last season as the carcharger was shagging all my batts up. i chose the 800ma version. its a few quid more but it gets them charged alot quicker. think i payed just over 20 quid delivered but then made a seperate loom with a male bullet connector to aligator clips. hth,
  12. make sure it's collared up. these old deep setts seem to pop up were you least expect them

  15. duno whats wrong then. luckily i've had no problems. i found it totally waterproof, windproof and snow proof even in the worst of weather. i dont know if they changed there waterproofing or whatever since you had yours but this is mine. http://www.kammo.co.uk/jackets/DPMKodiak.p...f2b553160e9c6e9 its getting abit worn now and got a few snags in it but the fabric is really tough and still waterproof.

  19. is that the genuine Kammo gear not just cammo clothing your on about. im using a kammo super kodiak jacket and have had it about 2 years now and its spot on. never had any dealings with the company other than the order but the quality of there gear so far is next to none.
  20. nice one Tinman. just tryed to watch the replay on satanta but couldnt get a good picture.
  21. were abouts are you from farisaden? id rather the snare killed the rabbit myself, i think this is the more humane way. less stress on the animal being held till you check them in the morning then.
  22. Maty j, I have actually been looking at HIbiscrub but it seems quite expensive, worked out at about £7 for 500ml, is that roughly what you payin for it? i payed less than that. think it was about a fiver but that was a year ago and i've still got approx 250ml left but just looking on vetmedic etc it seems to have gone up alot. i'd try what kozzi says..
  23. i wash with hibiscrub first and then saltwater if it needs a follow up. anything bad or that could go bad i put on abit of teatree oil and propolis on it.
