    fox nets

sorry to highjack your thread MJC, MC quick question, what shape/ size do you make your fox purse nets?? better explain incase you dont understand what i mean. when i make a rabbit net i start with 9 loops - step out 1 mesh on every row till ive got 18. carry on another 2 straight rows then reduce till ive got 9 then cast off onto the ring. ive got a decent sized net then that will fit nearly every hole i come accross both wide and height. how many would you start off with, go out to etc on a fox net?? and what size mesh board? TIA,

  15. if you dont mind paying them prices go arthur carter. 100w for the blitz and 50w main bulb lazerlite. if you want them cheaper, look on ebay for the xenophot capsule bulbs and just check its the correct one for your lamp.
  16. duno then mate. try what mart suggests but id imagine the adobe one would work but WMM is fine for me so i'll stick to that. cheers,

  18. there's been a few rats in the old stable for a while now and think its about time i got round to doing something with them. the dog marked on the other day under a pile of junk there. it sat tight while i gave it a kick but as soon as the dog went to another part and it was quiet i saw it scurrying off towards the back and under an old pallet. before when they have been in here the fens have worked a treat and from having just 1 set i ended up having about 5 in a day and the cat had 2, most were greys. I'm looking to have a bit more fun than just getting the fenns down but whenever i set the
  19. cheers lads glad you enjoyed it. P2225, i take it your camera usues a vhs then to record onto?? my camera splits the larger runnings into sections anyway and when i stop recording and strat up again it starts a new section...makes it easy for editing aswell. what cant you do trim it or wont it let you open the 2-3hr film in windows movie maker. have you looked online for a trial of adobe's editing softwere?...i forget the version now. cheers,
  20. would of been nice to have a retreive on the deer but its on an estate were they have paying customers to do stalking so dont think they would be happy with that ill let you know once ive got a full dvd. may take a while the first few runs were the local fields. there is a few bumps in them but generally not too bad the others were the hardest for the dogs with the rabbit boosting out the beam after a few turns. last run was unlucky. that black dog does try hard and got caught up when she hit the hedge. thanks Paul, glad its just not me then thanks John, i'll agree with you ther
  21. cheers lads. cheers tommy. i think it depends on the ground alot of the time. like on the latter part of the video you can see if the dogs dont pick them up quickly the rabbit will be off over the brow of a hill and out of the beam leaving the dog to do a pritty hard task. but at the same time there was a few near misses but it makes it that bit more exciting chris, dont get me wrong it would of been nice if had managed a few more but the dogs had a good stretch and some nice runs and we came away with a bit of meat for the freezers so i was pleased and if a few like the video then its ev
  22. this vid is combination of a few outings on the lamp. some runs and catches werent much good camera wise so they got edited out to try and improve the overall quality. theres still a few catches cut short and lacking light on some runs but let me know what you think http://media.putfile.com/lamping-take-3 cheers, maty.
  23. I use the 350d Mark. sure you've seen a few of my snaps and i find it quite good. are you gonna be using it on the warrens, mooching lamping or just pics of the dogs daytime. the 350 is quite small till you get the 75-300mm lens on it but the one it comes with isnt up to much if the subject is any distance away so dont forgrt a decent lense. you can get the camera quite cheap on ebay now and i picked my lens up for under 100 so you dont need to spend alot if you dont want to..
  24. nah, get some nobbys on this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qmKcM8B2ToY
