I was looking in the back of an old trout and salmon from 2000 the other day M but there wasn't much in it so keep meaning to get a newer one but there has to be some catch in it. Still if anyone gets them let me know and I'll order one, beats paying the prices they charge these days! Cheers,

They sound interesting Mal. Get a few pics up mate. I've made a few ferret boxes over the years but again only for my use as i wanted something small and lightweight yet strong. Have a look for net making for sport by Howard Glyn i think it is. Excellent book. Check your PM's in a minute mate.

have a look here Mal. It's there website. It isn't very helpful but it does have there contact details on it. I have sold a few older hemp nets i didn't need but honestly if your looking to make money from it i wouldn't bother. It takes me too long to make them for a start I just enjoy making things in general and with the nets i can make them to my own specifications. MJ.

by posting in this section i take it you mean longnets Mal? i know a few on here make quality nets but i havnt got the patience for that. i've made a little stop net but would rather use my time making purse nets. if you mean purse nets on the other hand. give Pat a ring at Bridport nets, he should be able to sort you out. i use the spun nylon from there in yellow or red and find it top quality but it isnt cheap at around 10-11 quid for 500gram, then you'll need rings 8-10 quid for 100, needles, 2mm drawcord 8 quid+ for 1kilo and pegs. have a look on osprey site. its a company down this wa

i dont think that would change it to be ok one way and it to be out on 'tother. if that was the problem though, it would of shown up on polarity check anyway.

were abouts is Lake Hill mate?? i usually go to the place colin used to own (on the main road). it got took over a year or so ago and they tunred one pool into a course lake. i dont hink its been the same since so i havnt been there in ages. i tryed one up in bodidris. a fecking huge place it was. the fella up there said it was a resevoir or something and he was trying to get permision to build a cabin and that. all that was a good few years ago so that could be called lake hill now??

cheers mate. sure it wont be the first time i've been taken advantage of saying that i need to get in first. my dad had a apprentice working with him and he said he was a shower of shite, couldnt do anything and he was on a decent wage aswell! still im not too worryed about the pay aslong as i get my 4 years done with someone.

the pay is nothing like your getting but its the work and more importantly the experiance more than anything i need. i've tryed most of the contractors and most are laying off rather than taking on but the council still have houses and flats to maintain. i had a chance to go with a contractor 2 yrs ago when i started college. my uncle was putting up some apartments so he had a word with the contractor but i wanted to get all the certificates etc out the way, now i'm finishing and have done all that no one is taking on. even had some turn me down as im too old so they have to pay me more! e

sounds good i was out on work experiance with the council a few years ago now and it wasnt too bad at all. it was a couple of different departments and non seemed that hard worked at all. i've just applyed for our council last week after seeing the advert in the paper and remembering about you'r other post. mostly refurbs etc they said and pritty sure they mentioned similar holidays as you. just hope i get in now

try either of them makes. they both have tight beams. the lightforce has shit wireing in it though so i bought the nite stalker and it does me well. its a bit big compared to my clulite but it has a much better beam on it.

there the hearing aid ones which are probably zinc air. they need air to operate so taped up underground there isnt going to be much. the silver oxides are dearer but for a few quid i'd rather pay it. still if your changing them every 3 month they should be ok. i know alot on here use them and find them allright but just thought i'd let ye know

the ones on ebay look reall smart and quite cheap from what i remember. dont know if the price has gone up since or even if the seller is still doing them.
