Mk1 Or Mk3,which Is The Best Collar And Box?
derbylad1 replied to northwestferreting's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
what do you mean by old school....surely not waiting it out...feck that...lol I cant believe anyone would say the Mk1 is better. The Mk3 has a greater range so your wandering around looking like a chimp swinging ya arms. Its more accuarate and less things go wrong. In fact i've had the Mk3 since it first come onto the market and never had a thing go wrong with the box or collars. And for that are unsure on how to use the Mk3...why? switch it on, it beeps....look at the depth, get as close as you can (just like the mk1) and then dig!!! Its even got search mode for ranges between 8 - 20 -
What Age Do Lurchers Normally Start Chasing
derbylad1 replied to dan john's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Look mate your missing the point of what you have...a pup!!!. so let it be just that. You dont want it chasing anything at the moment if you can help it, but mistakes & accidents can happen. Can you imagine if your little pup had plenty of drive and a hare got up in front of her, then you could have had some serious problems....even to the extent of ruining your dog for life, physically i mean. Dont take her ferreting just yet, unless she is on a lead. I go with a rule, that a pup should be out for 5 minutes for every month....and you cant go ferreting for 25 minutes. its my guideline -
well done lads...hoping to get out this weekend. if i got that kind of result i'll be a happy ferreter.

Same place, but different postcode....Bosnia!!!!. Sick fuckers. We found a dead pregnant woman nailed on a cross, they'd taken her baby out and stuck a piglet in its place....i was 19 at the time and the first ever dead person i'd ever seen. But i think i was too young to care...if that makes sense.

I had it quite easy and very lucky i suppose. Even my second tour was cut short to go recruiting in Worcester....easy life...lol I had the piss taken for being a "bullet dodger"....f*****g right. I love my legs!!!!! The only shit thing is...that the young lads aren't paid enough....and its not likely to get any better for a long time.

I need luck mate...this civvy life isn't so easy. good job i have a pension to tie me over. I dont like this working for a living shite.....lol But i dont miss it in the slightest, i was lucky and spent my last year at a unit that teach and test the TA before they deployed, and was based local. So i managed to get myself suited to civvy street very progressively.

I've just finished in the infantry after 22 years and i did my first afghan tour as youngish lad, a whole life in front of me to come, no mortgage, no bills(apart from the loan on my boy racer car), loved it out there. did the job and hopefully did it well. not caring a bit what i faced Second tour, our battalion saw a lot of shit and we lost some very good lads and saw a lot of lads that didn't like what was in front of them. they never went back out on patrols or op's and like socks said, were pushed into a job more suited to their mind set. A very, very rough tour. The third tour..

Looking For Pics Of Markbricks Bitch Kat

And if Mark (timber) did a repeat litter with Chester and his Lily, i'd have another in a shot. In over 30 years in this game...Xena is starting to be the best dog i've had. -

I've said before and i'll say it again...Xena is more my shape i like in a lurcher, much racier. Maybe one day i'll go back to collie types, but at this moment in time Xena (minshaw) is doing and more, than anything i can expect of her. However coco is an amzing daytime dog, great nose, stability and sticks to the job all day. Feck knows what'll do when she's gone. The thinking came on after her 3rd season. and yes i bred her myself. -

No mate...and she was done years ago. I was in the army back then and i lived with the ex missus, who couldn't handle the havoc of the dogs trying to hump her when i was away. Too be honest she's a bit a thinker...too much sometimes. and so was her mother. And i didn't want another like that. -

Only joking....its good to see good dogs from good lurcher men. I think thats why there can be so much bickering, we all want the same and thats the best from our best friends (our jukels). And a bit of competitiveness can be brought to air. -

Andy, they're not dogs.....these are dogs!!!!! -
my issue isn't with how good or not so good the women would be/are, but i have some very questionable capabilities. its how they'd be treated or perceived.

Female soldiers on the front line....dont make me laugh. Now Socks and any other soldier (servong/veteren) will agree that even the girls we have now in the army are over-pampered and looked after in a different ways than the lads. Everyone that has so far commented as already shown one thing....our society wouldn't accept it yet. Until the european courts start saying something about that is. The US have tried this before and it failed big time for all the same reasons you guys have already mentioned. If they do join the infantry, it'd make the first aid lesson a lot more fun...

Both cracking dogs and should/will throw some excellent pups in the right hands. We all know how good snipe was and still (at 12 years old i think) doing a bit for Jim. Previous litters seem to have done well, from my limited knowledge. Kat is in her autumn working career and still puts in some excellent shifts in. If I owned either of these dogs, i'd be one happy lurcher man, so whoever has a pup can look foward to some good seasons ahead of them. -
white painting suit????? can i ask why, did you think it would give you camaflouge? rabbits use other senses before eyesight to detect trouble...but i suppose you've realised that now...lol
-
i use exactly the same as you. great for the duffus trap!!! all my jobs are domestic, so i dont walk too far.
-
Its Alopcia...caused by the stress of having too many women to run round after.
-
stay in and stay warm. You'll make too much noise, you cast too many shadows and you'll be able to see rabbits boucing about....which all means they'll know you're there as soon as you step out ya truck.
-
awww...if only you were closer!!!! Come on lads, lets see your bunnies.
