You've ruined the post Dan........ Thanks!
  2. If you or a family member got hit by a driver who was under the influence then you may see it from a adults point of view eh? Taken any more photos? So you wrote "I'm sure he'll take it like a man" with no sexual inuendo involved............ Not not at all. I was refering to the old saying "Take it like a man" he knows the ropes, and it's not as if this is his first offence is it.

  4. And rightly so. He's had more than enough chances to now realise that what he has done is totally wrong and dangerous. Thankfully this time round no one was hurt or even killed. I'm sure he'll take it like a man.

Simoman, I agree with you, yet some will not believe us when they read it, but it sure does happen.
  10. Chartpolski's right about how to adjust the beam. I also keep a filter holder attached all the time which helps reduce the peripheral glare round the edge of the beam. I've used them for years and I like them as they're light, small and give ample light for me, whether used with lurchers or on top of the scope on both rimfire and centrefires. Kenny Yes agree here. I use one, they are very good, and as you have mentioned small and light. I've had mine for 3yrs into it's 4th. No electrical problems what so ever, and good usage time too.

I assume most hunters were out last night in the ideal conditions. I decided to venture out into the strong winds too. Now I dont know about anybody else, but I felt like a child waiting to go on a ride at a fun fair. I don't know why I felt this way, the perfect conditions maybe... Strange what a dog and a lamp, wind and drizzle can make someone feel. Did any feel that although we had strong winds and slight drizzle, it was still a warm night. The temp this way was reading 16c! Last night my 13 month old was doing it solo, the older dog is recovering from his injury. The fi

  15. Well said LDR. It's come to such a sad state of affairs, people trying to bring the hunting community together, people taking part and organising charity events, competions etc.... and people still throw dirt in the faces.

  20. Very true Dan, It's not about what type of dog, i.e saluki blooded because that's what some have mentioned. The question was reference to lamping hares not saluki's being plodders and gambling ok........... Hares are hares, weak and strong in all, lamp them, shoot them, they are fine beautiful creatures. I like to see my dogs capabilities. If working the night shift was your game then be it. I just wished back in the day that I owned a dog that could run and catch it's hare, all mine are plodders good for nothing pencil necked mongerals.
  21. Dont matter, a little foam and a gilette razor will fix that.
