thats evolution im afraid.....smoochers was great when i first joined....i loved it....at first going on, i made a few enemies (like an idiot!) but you cant turn back the clock (though i sometimes wish i could)...met some good guys off smoochers...in fact, i think that everyone i met was a good guy.......i have much to thank moocher for and i must admit to being sorry to see the site go........ :ph34r:

yes, a poachers tale....a book i read many years ago and still have the dog eared copy here....obviously, like all books, a bit of bull in it....the bit about cutting cardboard cut outs of rabbits out in the fields......lol...i tried it myself... when i was a young 'un that is.. :11:

Just surfing the net earlier and happened upon a site selling 2nd hand books...these books caught my eye. Has anyone else evert read them?..i think i was 9 years old at the time when i stumbled upon them, a great read about 2 brothers trying to catch animals for their fathers wildlife park.......superb....what books stick in your mind from your youth?

scoob bagged his first fallow of the season last season from a patch of beans as you described....we had travelled a long way, but nothing was about.... until we spotted the two fAllow sat in the beans.....and the rest, as they say, is history...

good bag peggy......i too have found bean fields very productive for roe...especially two days after they have been cut...roe out hoovering up all the split beans...

one of the best lurchers (for catching all quarry) was a deer/grey X whip/grey....she was a very handy tool....26" at the shoulder......

funny you should say tyhat Lucky..i once had a grrat cock brambling and onemorning i hung him outin a singer , just for a change of scenery for him....ten minutes later theres a maggie clung to the top of the cage.....needless to say....that maggie is no more!!!

great ;posts guys....re maggies...they are present in a higher thasn "natural" population due to the fact that they are scavenging our waste....i watched 10 long tail tits nest this spring and 8 were taken by maggies (or crows)....now, that isnt nature....

Hi mate...got a S200 myself...a great gun that has killed a lot of gear...PLEASE do not get a retro mag...it is the worst thing you could ever do.....IF you must get one then i will sell you mine...but, they are rubbish...always jamming and there has been many taken back to the shop...i will never fit one again........let the buyer beware..
