there is , however, a thin silver lining to this dismal, black cloud and thats that no longer will lurchers be bred for money, perhaps npow the dog dealers, puppy farmers and rest of the messers wil be out of business for good....i know for a fact that the vast majority will carry on, but its the coursing lads i really feel for, they are the ones that are going to feel the pinch the most...good huntigng guys

i have had a few in my time... loads of canadas, the odd jay..etc....have found rings on other birds that we have found dead...stock dove, blackie,heron,thrush....once shot a starling with one...had loads from "lost" racers that have been shot accidentally whilst they were in old buildings with ferals...found a few gulls with them...one from norway

it was only a figure of speech and only my own personal opinion on my own dogs,....its each to their own and i certainly wasnt running down anyones dogs if they dont get that many....IMHO,i like a dog that can work every day..., the figure was only in the season...and it was just one persons point of view... good hunting...JD

they all settle down soon enough...i have used dozens of maggies in the larsons and after a few days they just sit there....Ian has a vid of my larson catching a maggie..if he gets his lazy arse in gear he may put it up one day.......

personally , i would class a decent terrier is one that is doing 30+ per year..and several over the 2 hour mark in big earths...but thats JMHO.....but i aint seen many dogs up to standard, especially so with white one... dont forget lads...talk is cheap and only beleive what you have seen.... good hunting..JD
