  3. I tell you what i have noticed about "hard " dogs...everyone wants them to meet their comeuppance.... work them in the right places, sensibly, and they are ok.....a hard dog requires a sensible owner

  7. its not mine mate....much too well bred for me, its Tarmacs, the budding young terrier lad im sure next year he will be getting plenty of work with it..... :whistle: and from what i have seen it is a keen little chappy

  15. lets see your partridge and orange....surely the creme de la creme of wet flies in northern rivers... i run my thread further down the shank and use size 16's for all my early season patterns, but run the leader with 2 droppers, working three on a leader at once....quite effective..

  17. well tim, i am sorry to hear about your loss, from what i was hearing she was a very good bitch, especially on the larger tackle. i am glad i got to see her run in the cup that day. If its any small condolence i have wrote about her coursing ability in the next lurcherbook and planned on putting a good pic of her in too.....thats if this is ok with you....at least it happened out in the fields mate, doing what she loved. When something like that happens to a dog you love , nothing can make up the loss only time, but please dont give up on this fabulous hunting life of ours, i hope in time, you
  18. yes mate, they are called "Broadheads" and are razor sharp. most often of a three blade design...
  19. We are long overdue some bad weather this winter...when will it arrive do you think..???...im hoping for the last week in feb as i have that week off work!!! i cant stand those bloody sleety, cold aprils, better to get the bad weather out of the way now i say...
