  3. yes Smudge, i used to tie them many moons ago, but i must confess to never really liking them , though i know many others have had great sucess. To be perfectly honest, althought i have a large fly collection i only really use a handful and these are tied in no specific pattern really, but patterns that i have caught on for years. good fishing...
  4. good pics smudge.......you cant beat a good dry fly session..personally i favour the black knat and small olives in a variety of shades of green......had a few on a black and peacock sat in the surface film too...

  14. cos they are all bloody ugly thats why!!!!! sounds like an excellent hunt guys...great to read the stories. i have a query regarding those porcipines, do they dig on when your digging them or would you be able to dig them with a baying type of terrier??? do they face the dog in the manner of a fox, or do they try and force the dog out by charging it backwards??? cheers
  15. i think they are nuttal things with red collars on....
  16. I hear Frain is a very talented artist also..... . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I see my thoughts have been vindicated by the very brief review afforded Mr Frains latest offering (via this weeks Shooting Times), that being, "Rabbiting with Dog, Gun, Hawk, Ferret, Hound, Lawnmower, Strimmer, Smoker, Toaster et al". And I quote; "It's a little utilitarian" and "a bit text book" and it's "replete with poorly focused black and white photographs" . I rest my case. Buy it at your peril! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> quality pisstake mate, rats dont stand a chance with that lot i
  17. well done mate....bigger than any trout i have ever caught ...
  18. chris...the hw100 leaked like mad! not good news when you have shelled out some serious coin for a new bit of kit.... they are heavy and the stock is not the best in the world...but they are a decent hunting gun that aside... the mag system is the best i have ever used in my life...
