    Get well soon mate, BIRD
  2. With bullxs, they all can catch rabbits[ 1/2x, 3/8x, 1/4x,] My last two were 3/8x and 1/4x, both were 26ins 70 and 75lb. They done well for big dogs on rabbits, but they are not bred for that are they. Why not go for a 1x collie grey or 1x whippet grey, they will catch rabbits easy and pre ban do foxes as well. I love bullxs, but they are better at things than a 3lb rabbit BIRD alright mate hav u got bull xs your self Not now mate, the two above got smashed up, the both were finished at 4 1/2 They were good dogs , but feck
  3. Make sure youv have good control over the dog first, because when it catches it first rabbit it will be very excited. You just want a one to one, no other dog there. Regards age why doint you wait till its 9months, try it on a daft [june] rabbit. Doint forget its just a pup. BIRD
  4. It doint sound right, we all been on hot ground now and then, you doint get to close to a house. for that very reason, because they may have dogs. If they did shoot, why take it???? If you get pulled with dogs, you might bull shit your way ou of it. To carry a gun no way, i think you would keep well away from property. BIRD

  8. Thank god someone who Really knows their shit has spoken and lifted the scales from my hollow eyes! Now I'll know never again to keep Four Dogs, including a lurcher And This F*cker indoors for seven years again. No. I'll just chuck all my Dogs out in the yard. Sling water in their faces and electricute them by day as I wait for the local Chav Scum and Junkies to come for them by night. Then I can come on here and blame " Travellers " for all my woes Brilliant! I wish I'd thought of that! FFS. That dog is a big un what breed is it D.S
  9. What a feckin shame, BIRD
  10. yes my old bitch was that x , she was 14 when she died. She was 25ins 55lb, she looked similar to that dog. She would tackle anything , and she was my BEST catch dog ive ever had. BIRD
  11. hello i would say most dogs working dogs can be a good pet aswell as a companion but for the brains your looking for id go with collie x grey you can get them smooth or ruff coated and size would depend on the breeder i suppose id say a good 25tts is a good alrounder good luck Spot on BIRD
  12. A nother con merchatnt, BIRD
  13. Bad luck mate, it happened to me one night with a bullx , its a tough old life this lurcher game. BIRD
  14. ALBION BOY ARE SHITTIN NOW KID BIRD
  15. thank you for the kind reply, bull x dogs are like kids you should take your time with them like you do with kids, do not rush them they will come on in there own time, do not show them aggeresion because the aggeresion is all ready there its how you train the dog to channel the aggeresion to realease it at right time that you requier it. the 1 thing ive found with the bullx is that they never give up they will still run even though they know they can not catch what there running at. i think more of a dog you buy or breed the more time and understanding is requiered and respon
  16. They were ok, the 3/8 was a bit sharper with dogs, as long as they left him him alone he was ok. As i said all dogs are different, i got a 1x collie grey pup now he is 23ins and 52lb [7months old] he is a big pup, he will be a strong dog when he grows up. Some colliexs can be nasty feckers aswell. Any lurcher over 55lb , can do damage. Bullxs are powerfull dogs yes, so are coursing greyhounds when they kick off, the damage they do is unbelievable BIRD
  17. Right, ive had two bullxs[ 3/8bull 5/8grey and 1/4bull 3/4grey, and one whippetxgreyxbedlington. The bullxs both 26ins and 70 and75lb, caught well for big dogs. Not bad on rabbits, foxes done well when they catch them. As we allknow foxes can shift.?? The Bedlingtonx was 22ins and 40lb, it was a better catch dog than bullxs, obviously being a smaller dog. On foxes all dogs are different, it was ok. If i had to pick one, it would be bullxs, they seem to want to please you more than the bedlingtonx. Imight be wrong, it could have been just that dog.??
  18. As long as they give 100% mate , you carnt ask for no more. Dont forget its all about get in out there , and have in ago. Not who as got the best dog.??????? BIRD
  19. Nice terrier, good fox control BIRD
  20. Me i am just a old b*****d 55 , ive had bull terriers as a kid, then i got in to lurchers and still got them. Ive got a 1x collie grey dog pup now. But its like life , you can still learn something new every day. Ive had bullxs, colliexs, bitsa, and hard blood whippets, all have been great dogs. My two best dogs were a pit bitch, and a 1x collie grey dog. These two would die for you, and very loyal great dogs. BIRD
  21. I use red, when you get to dec or january most stuff is a bit edgy. i dont think it makes much differnce when they are like that. BIRD
