  1. lots of short trips, stop when the dog froths at the mouth. Always end the trip with something fun, like a decent walk.... Frequency of exposure will normally cure the dog.............. Sea legs is safe apparently...I was advised this from the vet (on the QT) but fortunately all mine have come good..

  7. I'm afraid until someone independently sets vets fees, Insurance is the way to go. Like it or not.... I insure 2 lurchers and a GSD for £25 a month all in. YES £25 a month all in....   15. soft point don't want to blow to big a hole in the deer bud, You will be fine with a soft point.. They are designed for the job. Just avoid Ballistic tips, such as VMAX for body shots. Edited to add... Soft points or similar are actually a legal requirement..
  16. depends on the twist rate in your barrel.. You can get heavier if required. But obviously the heavier, they are, the quicker they drop.

  19. Well thanks for all the opinions folks....... Seems we have two camps, well 3, if we include Wilf... I must admit I have looked at the Trakker bags, and they look good...... May invest in one before My next Hebrides trip in April Ive just donated my last attempt to the kids for their holiday next week..... (thy're a lot younger than me, so can tolerate the cold better) A little bit more research........and...............bingo
  20. Firstly.........Everytime i go camping in Spring or Autumn, the weather turns and its guaranteed to be cold.... I feel the cold anyhow, and I read tonight that us "over 35's" should add 5 degrees to the comfort rating of a sleeping bag, when purchasing.. So, that explains a lot Anyhow, I am looking for a decent sleeping bag, under a ton, suitable for a cold boy like me... I prefer green, olive type colourings..... so I am thinking on looking at a carp fishing type sleeping bag.. I dont like sleeping in clothes, so it needs to be comfortable, however, I have had bags t
