    Whippets make fair ferreting dogs, aye. And I like em. But to be honest if I had the choice I go for a lurcher with a bit of collie or terrier in the mix. My own personal favourite dog for the ferrets is collie/whippet/greyhound. TO watch her work on the burries is fantastic. Her ears are like radar dishes, she is constantly listening and instinctively knows when and wheer they are going to bolt. I dont think you get quite the same instinct with the whippet. But they catch them fair enough.
