  7. bought 100 of the 20 grn ones 4 year ago when i got the 17 hmr. just a few weeks ago shot the last of them of. wont get any more as they are prone to bouncing, go straight through gear without killing it, and don't feed clean in my rifle.

  11. with the right conditions on your ticket it could be done. the 17 hmr dont mod to well, there is always a crack with every shot, neighbors might be OK with it, but what about door to door sales people etc who could be alarmed at hearing guns shots and be straight on the blower to the old bill. if this does happen it could be by by ticket. is it worth the risk.

  13. whay kind of work are the parents doing please, docked d/clawed ?.ready now?. location. thanks
  14. as said you would have to ask the FLD in the area that you are shooting in. if a chap from Cheshire came to west Yorks and shot a fox with his 17 hmr and had it on his ticket for vermin, And the west Yorks old bill get involved he could find himself in breach of his conditions as west Yorks do not class fox as vermin. strange but true, its one of the reasons i have the hornet, its on my ticket for fox and vermin. i also know a chap in west Yorks who has occasional fox listed as a condition on his .22 rimmie. When i applied for my center fire i specifically said it would be used on
  15. west yorks have no such reservations what vermin is, and according to them fox is not vermin. my hornet says fox and vermin. .17 says vermin as does my 22 rimmie. which is all bollox may i say, as dead is dead.
  16. west yorkshire wont grant either of these for fox. Initailly, i have applied for (sent my applciation off today) a .17hmr with moderator and 22lr with moderator. hornet is the smallest caliber they will grant for fox.
