  1. most male ferrets will fight on meeting this time of year mate he may not be that aggresive once out of the set but watch your fingers just in case

  3. hello looking for some advice on the making of hoop snares found some thick wire which to set the snares on what overall lenghts should they be cut i asume they want a be at least a foot and a half into the ground also any advise on laying on runs etc greatfully recieved cheers

  6. thanks i have tried a e collar (lampshade) type but because the injury extends down the leg and was using leg to try and remove collar i removed it pretty quick what i have on her are a couple of wide greyhound collars to reduce her stretch she dose lick it though occasionally cheers
  7. thankyou for your time and advice skycat wound looking good this morning.vet has given another dose 10 days of antibiotics clavaseptin and pain relief.... this injury was huge and took the vet alot of trouble to find and stretch and recover enough skin to repair the dog... the honey i have been using from the start good stuff.. in reply to leegreen the bitch made a very good way to healing the first time but because a huge area was repaired some skin died where all the corners met.... the vet said this is quite common and sometimes needs a second stitching there still remains a lot of tensi
  8. thanks all i have seen the vet he thinks it should be ok.. hes happy to leave it at the moment but just have to keep an eye and for her to remain immobile
  9. thanks the last op was on tuesday i am getting a bit fed up with it and want the best for her..i dont think the vet will stitch without putting her under prob the ££££££s first job £400 and second £85 at good will might try the wound powder ..will see if i can get to vets tonight
  10. thanks for replies this is second time stiched up first time a area of skin died and it opened up the wound this was a huge gash all over her ribs vet had a job to stretch skin over to cover it there is huge tension on the sutures dont like keep putting her under
  11. whats the chances of this area that has opened is likely to heal on its own without fresh stiches? this 12 yr old bitch has been under twice now already due to split stiches theres no muscle damaged just skin... anyone with anything simular thanks
  12. if hes high energy could try brisk walking him along side a push bike a couple of times a day on his lead they soon pick up and it drains the pent up energy fast plus you can cover a large area in a short space of time..good luck what ever you decied
