  5. hello mate yr right about the scenery hard to beat it... alot of my permission is also clambering through hedgerows and it was a nice change today l dont go there that much it holds a few rabbits but there deep setts, you wouldnt wanna be digging
  6. i had a nice day out today and thought i would share a few of the pics with you all.. we done a few sets and just the one dig, lucky it was just over a foot . a few young rabbits about also. more pics to follow

  8. hello mate,my thoughts on a dog jumping have changed over time all mine can and do jump and always were encouraged too untill one had an injury to his wrist... it was a real blow my best lamper is now only fit for daytime ferreting and light work now im always keen to look for other routes through hedges under gates etc.. not meaning to put you off its ussfull for a dog to jump and injurys can come with the teritory but caution be sure of your ground conditons.. cheers
  9. migh be hormones or maybe domanace ,bitches can do it as well,one of mine mounts the dog as soon as i grab the leads ready to go out shes the top dog in my pack..
  10. got a biter myself at moment, gifted me from a mate that never handled from a kit ..[bANNED TEXT] worked for me is fill eye dropper with cider vinegar offer hand gloved optional if she bites sqirt vinegar in her mouth she is starting to tame down great now and getting the message taken nearly a week but able to handle without getting bitten though still a bit hissy ...might be worth a try..cheers

  13. hello can anyone help me out i was looking at getting a propane smoker.. seen a dem video and they look the biz was looking for any info from those that use them. are they trouble free or any maintanance problems etc .. cheers

  16. i would hope you at least get the price of the snip back especially if its a young animal..it may also secure a better home someone paying forty plus quid its not then just chuck away and also could have a good life serving their gills.. try it and see advertise it with the vets recipt.cheers
  17. welcome i am new here myself the new finders do take some getting used to. practice with the collar off the ferret and get used to the different sound pitches tuning in etc
  18. the rabbit flips a swinging door on entry that shuts behind it then it cant go back out giving you time to get there
  19. reply to weetan, it can b used instead of a purse net in the out of reach places usseful when ferreting alone or brambles enbankments etc
  20. a terrier and lurcher combination can also sometimes work, small dogs can tuck themselves away and watch the holes that maybe difficult to net
  21. some good advice there from the others...and a dog that digs out its own rabbits is always usefull
