  8. thats a shame mate. whats the limit in a council house
  9. have you thought of voluntrering to walk the dogs at the rescue maybe take a few out for the day and see if any could be handy for your needs... breeding your own will cost you a lot more in time and money than paying the neutering fee at the centre and adding to the huge prob of unwanted dogs in crete.... all the best
  10. its easy to blame the farmer and if it was my dogs that were shot id be none to happy.. but just think how many running dogs end up dumped or left on farmland i know of 2 on the farms i go on one was tied up in a old barn and found in poor condition it survived and the farmers brother kept him was apparently a brill ferreting dog.. and a good few are shot that dont make the grade... this farmer might have had bad experiences .. i think we all need to be responsible on are permission and create a good impression

  17. its suprising just how quick numbers can go down in a area i keep a book of how many ive taken in any given area and it can soon tallys up... you go out a few times ferreting and you might get lucky and into double figures.. back out on the good nights with the lamp.. if you carry on like this through the season in a small well popullated area they can soon become depleted within a short time specially when they are not breeding this happened to me a few years ago got some new land no one known to the land owner had ever ferreted.. went to look around thought i was in heaven must o
  18. thanks all.. they are bolting traps good for awkward places that are difficult to net
