    Anyone know a good parts supplier other than chambers i am after a barrel support ring for a hw 100 they have been out of stock for a bit they say they are waiting for parts to come in. Anywhere else i can get one from cheers.

    Started with out a locator but as soon as i could get one i did i would not be with out one now. I am not to keen on the new ones but know they work well enough.I can sort of see what your saying about people relying on locators and not having the know how of what to do if the collar fails.when i started ferreting with the locator i only had the one collar so i put it on a hob and used loose jills then when i got a lay up i put the hob in to find it to dig it .On the whole the use of technology can only be good for ferreting like when Tomo and Vin found that ferret in the drop box if it had a

    Good day lads a canny few rabbits come off that farm this season Tomo. i can feel my shoulders aching just looking at that pic of Tomo carrying them rabbits down lol.

    I look like death warmed up in that pic Tomo lol mind you i was puffing like a steam train climbing up them banks to the tops but once up there i enjoyed the day nice to see the dogs work for the rabbits and the ferrets grafted hard shifting the rabbits in that bigger warren when we where making our way down was nice to see good a number of rabbits running in for another day.

    Hope the bairn is better soon andy. A bit different in the dales 20 years ago andy there was not that many farmers would let you on with lurchers lamping some did but they were not keen on dogs round sheep.That being the case we did more ferreting and shooting with shotguns then and some farms had to be seen to believed they where lifting with rabbits took some biggish bags but we had a market for them as a lot of the old miners would take your hand off for ferreted rabbits.

    I put her in with a jill and they fought straight away so put her in on her own till i find one she gets on with i hope the dogs foot heals quick.

    Good days ferreting i enjoyed it there is still a few rabbits about on that farm to go at but the day flew over and it was time to pack up before we knew it a lot of digs did not help Tomo kindly took charge of the spade all day .There was a fair few dead rabbits lying about. I am not keen on them stone walls the older ya get the higher they seem to climb lol being 21 stone dont help much either but the lads said they would catch me if i fell lol.

    Hi jack ask the keeper or your mate to show you how to make your own purse nets or if you find making nets is not for you then you could buy some off someone that makes there own there was a post that had net makers that lads had recommended i am sure you will find someone to sort you out. beat me to it max lol

    Well done lads great bag there Tomo the conditions were spot on last night the farm we went on was dead very few rabbits about near the river we seen about 4 rabbits then the odd one through the middle not till we went up near the top road did the numbers pick up fieldmashalls young saluki ran well was impressed retrieving back to hand she is a bit soft mouthed and had to recatch some but looks like she will make a handy bitch.

    Yes It is a Very good tutorial i make my nets the same way. its a good way to knit for beginers as there is a better chance of knots not slipping
