  6. says this video is private. . . . no can see
  7. Is this the same Jim Greenwood that did the 1 to 1 training with lurchers that was based in the manchester area?
  8. interesting post, which has run before. I was always led to believe that a bitch will learn quicker, mature quicker and have a higher prey drive, and that is what i was looking for when I looked for my last pup 5 years ago, a bitch. So why Have a a dog laid on his bed? Cos that was the pup that took my eye when ;looking at the litter, looked keen in the run, into everything, came when I whistled him and had a bit of width in his head compared to the other pups. No regrets, hes done everything asked of him. Rgds
  9. Agree with the above. Out of interest what was he doing the day before all this happened?

  14. More than just a passiion for good ale me thinks, good luck Phil Robins http://www.longdogbrewery.co.uk/
  15. mate took in a good looking saluki cross rescue. It was daftt as feck wouldnt listen to voice or whistle commands. A woman trainer in the area suggested the clicker , and the difference was amazing. I agree that its not ideal in the hunting environment, but a dog that was a liability is now under some control.
  16. Do you honestly believe that a Lurcher, (or any breed of dog, for that matter), can show that degree of intelligence.... Remembering the lay of the land, where the quarry will be and where it will run to ???? I despair at some of the things that are said on this site at times ! Cheers. I like a lot of what you post, and agree with most of it, but recently you've been a bit of a miserable b*****d. No offence intended, just pointing it out. The lad made a sensible enough point, day time or night time, if you work the same land enough, some dogs DO, start to learn the patterns,
  17. can you expand on this please? always looking for an edge .....
  18. let it see a experienced dog run and pick up a couple of times. if that dont fire it up...........
