I doubt it'll affect ferreting in any significant way, there are many ways of rabbit control, but ferreting has been a time tested method.

Mainly rabbit, gutted, but not skinned, and sometimes dried food. Once a day. -

Haven't really looked to much into the story, but did today!! I only read half the story, made me feel physically sick, even hanging is too good for those sick bastads, They should feel the same fear and pain as that poor baby before they are eventually killed.

Some ferrets are naturally big as stubby said, i seem to recall stubby's got a huge one This is my big one, he's a fair old size too.

I use one on contract, £10 a month, it is a fair bit slower than proper broadband, and if you download movies and songs, works out expensive, but fine for forums, basic surfing and sites like this.

Well the "found" fert has been out a good few times now, and he has turned out to be a fantastic worker, he soon got up to a healthy weight, he is totaly friendly, Well pleased with him. He still paces up and down the cage when i go near it, but i think it is because he is always wanting to "go to work".

What a day, it all started out so well, went to my permission, the weather was fine, so set up on the first bury, and after about 10 mins one in the net, fert seemed to think nothing else at home so off i goes to the next one. Tiny one this one, only 4 holes, so set up, and almost immediately BANG, another one bagged up. So far, so good, Off i drive to the next one, let the dog out of the car, and she says, YES rabbits at home, this ones a bit bigger, about 12 holes, so i get the ferts and nets out the car,and put the dog back in while i net the holes. That IS faster over a given distance ie: point A to point B. Put it this way, if someone says "how fast is your car mate?" I don't tell them i can do london to leeds in two hours. (average over a given distance) I'd say 160mph. (Top speed) So when you do your training is your max speed faster? or is it your acceleration to it and how long you can hold it?

I see what you are saying and yes there is a genetic element BUT say a pup goes to a working home, used on hares successfully, very fast, if that same dog went to a pet home and was never trained for running it would not achieve the speed it would in a working home Depends what you mean by "faster" Ultimate top speed or timed over a given distance? Given a reasonable degree of fitness, (not talking about a fat lump of lard here) the pet dog probably would reach the same TOP speed, but wouldn't be able to sustain it for the amount of time the fitter working dog could. IMHO.

Nope, because they don't, well not in my experience anyway. They are a fantastic gun, some people say they are a bit heavy, but i don't find that at all, I have the thumbhole carbine version, the loading is super smooth, great adjustable trigger, and as accurate as the person holding it. Can't find ANY faults with mine. I love it!!

Read something similar on here before, turned out it was a Spider bite, can't recall the exact details but remember the symptoms were the same. Have you been to the vets? If not, get her there FAST. Good luck.
