  1. Avon do a product. I'm sure it's a moisturiser spray. But there's something in it that keeps the biters away. I will have to ask my missus what it's called. Unless northernlite sees this first. I've seen him mention it before.
  2. Is anyone working this cross at the moment? There have been a few threads and it seems they were a popular mix a few years back but don't seem to be so many about today. So who's running them now and has anyone got any pics of theirs? The sire to my brindle bitch was deer/grey X collie/grey half cross to half cross and did well on all game by all accounts...
  3. Agree with Jok when he says his are robust. I don't know where people have got the idea that they aren't strong from? I'm 16 stone and would have no quarms sitting or standing on it.
  4. I remember when I got hammered for running an 8 month old pup by the bike for 5 mile. That was funny. Lol
  5. same here, just the hard ground on its feet ide worry about..they learn nothing getting walked round park. I would of been one to wait until 12 months old until I met Trigger and saw his dogs. He educated me to get the dogs out as soon as they are jabbed. Tagging along on ferreting trips and lamping trips and giving them odd runs whenever they want them. That dog buster he posted about above has put some game away and I'm sure he's 6-7 years old and still got plenty left in him yet.
  6. I look for stamina. If they can manage 10 rabbits and 3 hares at 12-14 weeks then they will be half decent dogs.
  7. Just watched this. Was well worth watching. Thanks for that. I will work my way through the others. Thanks again.
  8. i make no secret of getting them out there learning there job mate. they learn feck all at home. this lad is 5 months and a week here i am sure ive got some pics of him a few weeks younger. and he caught the other rabbits lastnight How many seasons has buster done for you now trigger?
  9. They have to run them now especially the bitches because they will be lined at their first season. Who waits that long? ?
  10. Injury? Nobody mentioned injury. I've been running my red bitch since she was 12 weeks. She is 18 months now and walks funny. She like hops along on her front legs and sometimes drags her back legs behind her. Any tips? I've tried Manuka honey on her joints but that doesn't seem to help.
  11. That's a bit harsh. LolSo is running a pup at that age.... I can't believe he left it so long. I like mine out and catching before 12 weeks really...
  12. You joking? That pup will be getting grafted this season. Not next season. Haha.
  13. I've been waiting for this post for at least a month. I'm surprised you've waited so long. Haha. Well done to the pup. Can't wait see him run come the winter.
  14. Cheers lads. Appreciate it.
  15. Thanks lads. A few there to keep me going. Keep them coming. Socks I haven't looked at yours but it's bound to be some sarcastic piss taking load of nonsense. Hahaha.
  16. Anyone got any links to decent documentaries? Not necessarily hunting related. Boxing, wildlife, big cats, criminals and murderers, sporting history, mountaineering, anything to do with the outdoors really. Not interested in politics or football. Lol. I'm off my feet for a few weeks and could do with something to pass the time. Missus has brought me a few books but I really do have to be in the mood to sit and read a novel. Cheers, Gaz
  17. Nice pics fella. I love seeing the kids with their dogs from young. Can't beat it.
  18. Good going walshie. Gotta start somewhere. All the best with the pups lads.
