    My plan was to have a 6x4 shed with insulated 4x2 box inside and then have lino floor for rest of shed for when the inevitable accidents happen. Then have a cut out leading to a 10 x 10 run. However I have decided to separate the dogs soon and haven't got room for 3 sheds so will just be a run with a 4x2 box in it. At the moment the jack russel and the lurcher share a 4x2 box and the terrier still pisses in there sometimes if it's raining and she doesn't want to get wet. What do you lads/lasses do in winter if dogs are just in an outside wooden kennel, no shed. Mine are in a 4x2 T&

    Thanks for the reply FTBBTH, If we were 12 months down the line then I think I would be snapping one of them pups up. Have you got or worked 1st cross Saluki Whippet? Have you got any pics of adult dogs? Cheers Gaz

    I don't know anything about these but heard the name a few times recently. Are these working bred whippets? And are they pure whippets or hardbloods? I have heard so much conflict about whippets, I've seen the soft, paper skinned shivverers which don't really appeal to me but also heard alot of lads saying that if bred out of the right stuff they can make decent tough little dogs. Interested to know more as I havent ruled out a pure whippet one day Gaz

    I would say yes definitely visible as a pup. I picked my pup from a litter of 9, 5 dogs and 4 bitches I think. Sire was 26" sal/grey, well buil dog and the Dam was a 23" sal/whip/grey but very whippety and lightly built. I wanted a dog like the sire and picked the second biggest dog. The biggest dog was quieter and also I didn't like his colouring, my pup was really lively and came straight up and started chewing my shoe, lol. There were 2 which were visibly thicker set and chunkier. And he is turning out very similar to the sire. A lad on here picked a smaller bitch and she is tur

    I could live with that aswell mate. Yeh I think he will come good, I try to get out with Dave and the dogs every Sunday and he is learning more and more all the time. Like you say Shane and Rogue are good dogs and both know there job so fingers Gaz

    You should be able sort that mate from how well she was doing before. How is her retrieve in general? Live to hand with caught bunnys? Rocky won't even chase a tennis ball, lol. Just looks at me like I'm a dick. He will chase a teddy bear or any fluffy toy but retrieve to hand is very hit and miss. Just gonna hope he comes right when we start lamping. Gaz

    Cheers pal. Had him out trotting along side my sisters horse last night and then through a field of bullock as part of stock breaking. He is jumping now where he woulnt before so we are getting there slowly. The recall is spot on now 90% of the time he comes to hand and let's me put his collar on without all the messing about and cowering etc. Just the retrieve thats letting him down at the moment but we will get there :-) Gaz

    I like it mate, nice tattoo. Im slowly running out of space now, I've got the top of my right arm and my chest free. Thinking about having a coursing scene, 1 greyhound coursing 1 hare with trees in background etc and try to make it look like a black and White photograph. Was gonna have it running up my arm from elbow to shoulder but thinking it might look nice on chest? Gaz

    Thanks for all the replies. Are there still many 1st cross beddy greys being bred out of decent stuff? Would a Beddy Whip x Grey make a better all rounder and obviously should throw a smoother coat. Also might throw a slight taller dog? I think I will go for beddy for next dog, just need to decide wether beddy x grey or beddy/whip x grey. Hammerdan - hope the missus and baby are all okay. Gaz
