  1. Anyone got these boots? I was initally after a decent wellie but i have decided that boots will suit me as better all round footware and after much research these seem my favourites. Has anyone got them? Are there better out there for the cash? Best ive found is £180 delivered. I considered the Army Pro Goretex also but heard a few reviews that they can make the feet sweat badly and then the goretex lining takes ages to dry out thus leaving wet feet. http://www.armynnavy.com/catalog/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/3598 Any input appreciated. 2. Is the chiudleys greyhound much better or different to the chudleys working crunch? Thanks Gaz
  3. I'm currently flicking between Redmills, Sneyds Special and Chudleys Working Crunch. My dog looks well on them all, the special made him hypo I think due to all the colours. Sneyds do a premium which is wheat gluten free and should be a top quality food. I'm back on redmills now.
  4. Cheers fella. Will get it sorted tomorrow
  5. Cheers folks. Will get down scrappy tomorrowv
  6. I'm sure I can get my hands on a seat belt. Cheers. What's the best way to fix it you reckon? Gaz
  7. I have made myself a cracking little ferret box today but just wondering what is the best method of attatching a strap and what strap to use? Cheers Gaz
  8. I've been told that there is a quick way of removing the breasts from woodpigeon without plucking. Apparently you can remove a wing and whip the breast out from the side. Anyone got a quick guide or tips? Thanks Gaz
  9. Haha. No problem Penny. Thank alot.
  10. Penny - thanks for the PM. I will ring you this afternoon if you are available. And I will contact Jim Greenwood. I don't think I can afford him but will see what he says and how much he charges. The last thing I wanna do is have his dog put to sleep as he is good in so many ways. Lurche girl - thanks for the advice. I don't see much point in lying when asking for advice or saying my dog can do this etc. I'm struggling and I think being honest is the only way forward. Gaz
  11. Lads, These pups won't be 3/4 grey 1/4 collie. They will be 3/8 grey 5/8 collie. Dam is quarter collie. Sire full collie. Gaz
  12. Oh dear. Okay thanks to this who have already given me advice on getting rocky to retrieve and generally be more obedient. Now I need some more I'm afraid... Since being advised to try the treats i have had him doing everything I want. He would retrieve a tennis ball to hand which is something he had never done before. This morning, I switched the tennis ball back to the rabbit skin dummy (which I was having issues with before). First throw, slip him, he buggers off with it. Eventually bringing it about 8 foot away and dropping it and then coming in for his treat. So I sit
  13. Thanks for PMs and all the interest fellas. She has gone now. Thanks alot. Gaz.
  14. I know mate, Ive been looking to rehome her for over 3 months and held back from putting her on here but I don't know that many dog lads. I just need her gone now. Forgot to say - I ain't bothered about money, just a decent home. Stoke on Trent. Gaz

  16. I have got a 3 year old bitch here that I need to rehome, I brought her as a bushing bitch to work with the lurchers, but... 1) Every time I let her off she goes to ground. 2) She has no intention of bushing where I am walking and wants to be 1/2 a mile away. 3) Goes mental in the night due to foxes and rats in the field and stream behind my house. I feel like i am holding her back from being a potential good earth bitch or ratting bitch (in barns or enclosed yards etc). I'm sure someone can get better use of her than me. She lives in or out. Is crate trained. Eats raw or dry
  17. By the way - nice dog in your profile pic. It is the breed I want but don't have the time & room with the other animals I have. Would have to get rid of wife first lol. Steve Thanks Steve. He is a nice looking hound yeh. He is 10 months old and a real handful. Im currently documenting his progress in the lurcher section as I have had a few problems with basic obedience. We are just getting back on the straight and narrow but alot of the issues are my own fault, made quite a hash of training my first running dog but learnt by my mistakes and hopefully will sort things out.
  18. And before anyone says "maybe the ferret is tiny and the guy in the picture is a dwarf" I'm 6' 2" and 17 stone. Lol.
  19. Okay cheers Leeview. Im still learning alot about ferrets with these being my first so don't know what the milk teeth look like. Will take photos tomorrow and put them up. I arent here to con anyone lads, the lad who gave me the ferret was a honest lad and the litter brother I saw was a similar size, obviously the Jill was alot smaller. Will put photos of mouth tomorrow Gaz
  20. Sorry but not a chance. My dad bred great Danes n they were not that big at 10 weeks PMSL. I think it is a typo and you mean 10 months. The ones I post pics of above are 10 weeks or a little more and they will fit on your hand. I usually have a rule of never nocking anyone on a forum but sorry no chance I brought him last week, 9 weeks old off a bloke who bred them. He is 3 times the size of my other kits which are 7 weeks. Gaz
  21. Heres another one of my big hob, 10 weeks old...
  22. That's the problem with this site. One lad has a pop at another and every f****r else joins in. No truth in what is being spouted about, just having a dig "because someone else did". Fair play for apologising. And the first few posts sounded good advise. Im struggling with my saluki cross retrieving full stop. Good luck. Gaz
