I don't agree with that MIK. I've had some good nights lamping with LED lamps and been out with lads who do ALOT more than I do and they use LED too. No problem spotting gear with them or keeping stuff in the beam for the dogs. And I'm not just talking about little rabbits. Maybe some lads have different eyesight to other lads cuz the ones who say they can't spot rabbits with the LED lamps have definitely got different vision to me. Lol. No need to slate all LED lamps fella just because you didn't get on with the Tracer 1000 or PLR 500. The 120 knocks spots off either of them and

No. It beats going hunting in this weather. It's freezing cold out there and raining. Better to stay indoors, talk shit on here and do some hunting when the warmer weather comes in spring.

There's always fukcing one ........ All meat on display not a lot of damage , 22 rimfire head shot ? ? ? ?What's the point in that post?Nice one squab. Can't fault that .... Bet you had 14,816 points for all your posts , deer doesn't look shot and if it was what a nice chap he must have been to let you keep the meat , well done the dog !! No you're right. I'm sure some of my 14,000 posts didn't have much point. But I can assure you that none of them were trying to imply that a fallow dog man was breaking the law or try to drop him in the shit ?

What other types wouldn't you bother with? Beagle spaniels? They are spoken highly of by the lads who've seen them graft.
-
You're probably best see a few types work mate. Where abouts are you? I will happily show you this bull X cocker of mine working. Be worth seeing a full spaniel aswel so you can get an idea of differences. I wouldn't have another terrier for bushing. They are bang on at the job but a liability when they start dropping to ground.

Whippet Section Needed, Whos With Me ?
Gaz_1989 replied to brenner's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Yeah, very constructive comment. What is wrong with you?! ............. Ah I get it, your mate tommy27, his whippets are making your dogs look second rate, so you feel the need to 'rubbish' whippets on this site, same as most people that can't hack the fact that a dog half the size of your own dog is a better dog! Lol ???????? -
Whippet Section Needed, Whos With Me ?
Gaz_1989 replied to brenner's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Good idea. Maybe the section could close November to March when it's too cold for whippets and reopen in the spring ?- 79 replies

You start off just throwing it a foot into a rabbit run or similar. Then when he's fetching that throw it a bit further until you can throw it in dense cover and he will find it using his nose. Same with water. Throw it just a foot into the water first. Then slowly get further out. But the experts have spoken and it's a terrible idea that doesn't work so ignore me.
-
I'm glad you got that off your chest. Hope you're feeling better now ???

As for me needing to get out more, I guarantee my dogs spend longer in the field than MOST on here. And that's a fact. They ain't world beaters and I've never claimed to be a super hunter but time in the field is one thing me or my dogs don't lack. If half of you spent as long in the field as you do bitching and trying to pick fault with posts on here then you would do alright.
-
i guess it was about time someone had to say it lolI think I speak for 99% of thl saying this but the guy grates on you !!! thinks he invented hunting he knows everything, move over j darcy your about to loose your crown. The guy will be here shortly with all the Answers as he has a answare for everything. He needs to get out more and leave his camera at home !!!!! Or is he taking pics for his next book lol You have talked more shit in your last few posts than I have in my 9 years on the forum ? Plummer and bull X cocker were my first 2 dogs. Lol. You clearly know everything about me so I

Neither entered cover when I got them. And the bull cocker was 14 months so definitely still a pup. I used a rabbit skin dummy with them both. As for the plummer being more of a digging dog she bushed better than anything I've seen when she was above. I don't know why people feel the need to question someone thinking they know the full story when they only really know less than half. For the record the plummer wasn't my first busher ?
-
Hope she gets a good home fella. Anything like the one I've got here and it will be mustard in cover and tackle anything.
-
I've never had a reason to wank another man off but I wouldn't tell someone not to do it. Each to their own ?
-
Why forget the dummy? It's a great training aid, mental stimulation for the pup, builds the bond between man and dog, gets it entering cover willingly, gets it retrieving. List is endless.did this method work for you then?,not one lad I know with decent bushers has needed to adopt this method to encourage entering cover,I'd not worry about trying to say the right thing I'd just be getting it out every day, they ain't all smashing cover at 5 month he got plenty time yet for it to come good Yes this method has worked for me in the past. I still don't understand why you would tell someone to

Only just seen this. Thanks for posting that fella. Enjoyed reading it. I really miss that little bitch. She was a pretty big personality around the place. But I'm also glad to see her doing what she clearly wants to do. -
I was out with trigger last night. He had the 150, I had the 120. Both spot on. The 120 is brighter definitely and a touch wider beam but the 150 is plenty good enough. We did a mix of land. Some big fields and Lamped some big stuff for the keeper to shoot and the 150 held up fine. Nothing wrong with these lamps at all. We were out for Approx 5 hours and had plenty of runs and no signs of either battery dying.

There is no rest of the pack, I have a lurcher, and 4 month old beagle/terrier mix. Going to take him out first light where there's loads of rabbits to see what he does, at the moment he focuses lot on what my lurcher is doing, it will be interesting to see how he responds without her there. Not worried really as he's very young, but just want to avoid any pitfalls if I can.Could it be worth keeping the lurcher on the slip for half an hour or so out of each mooch? Let the busher get confident in venturing off on its own?He wouldn't though, he'd just stay mithering her. Took him out on his ow
