    Farmers

I was going to come up with my own, but you have just about summed it up
  2. I was wondering when someone would know it was called bailing twine. Without bailing twine the countryside would fall apart. The world would fall apart. Believe me, I have seen it used in some " get you out of the shit " situations If ray mears and that bear fella only knew
  3. Mandatory, compulsory bailing twine You are not a farmer until you master the thousand uses for the stuff.
  4. Some nice looking cattys there mate and quality craftmanship. Hats off to you.
  5. You may squeeze a little more range by upping the Illuminator but my guessing is that its all in the lenses within the unit itself. Hence NS50 / NS200 and the price difference. But the advances in illuminators is fast moving. And brighter is not always best.
  6. I do own a mildot scope but its a hawke and I hate the fecker. So I have never bothered to get on with it. I use a standard ret on air rifle. FAC air and rimmy. At all ranges from up close rats to long range quarry. As I said it works for me and I suppose its what you learn to use and get used to. Paulus. I'm the same. Lol
  7. I have both a WTC and a Redfield. Both brilliant scopes. With good glass for the money. Simple ret on both. And I get on with them very well. Never really felt the need for mildot ret. works for me.
  8. They are well made chaps and should stand some abuse. They are the internal door tubes. These are twenty quid a piece plus postage. Cheers

    Wood Burner

Most woods will burn fresh. With exceptions such as chestnut and poplar. There are a few more but these will sit in the embers like lumps of stone. Most fruit woods have a good aroma along with beech. I use apple. Beech and ash in the meat smoker. Resinous timbers like pine. Latch and cedar don't burn too well unseasoned and will also clog up your flue.
  10. Of course not!! but as your the expert who am I to argue otherwise? Loose lips and all..........
  11. I hear the photon is a nice bit of kit for handy money. Better and a comfier viewing position than the pulsar 550/750 etc....units. Perfect for airgun ranges. However i understand it requires a good illuminator. Having never owned one or trailed one I am only going on positive and trusted opinions. But it's certainly not to be counted out.
  12. 'Cos the powers that be wouldn't know unless we pointed them out...................... How many have been forced to close down over the past couple of years and how many ISP are blocking your access to them? You will also find that most of the named content on these sites doesent stay on there for very long. Only files that have been renamed have any chance of not being pulled. The powers that be have dedicated bots or search engines that scour the net for keywords as those contained in this thread. But as said. As one is pulled another will soon take its place.
  13. The gore tex fabric is beneath the leather. It's the inner lining of the boot. You could remove the laces but I never bother. Just get whatever you use dorbed on
  14. To be honest mate I don't have a scooby!! I guess you could end up with a plastic build in the rifling? But as they are not much kop and I don't use them, there's no worries here.
  15. And now that you have identified them on an open forum they may not be there for much longer. Just a thought
  16. Rake. That's exactly what I said to the fella running the course. It was a mink raft and trapping course run by the above. I disagreed fully in regards to the dispatch tools and was told the only alternative was to place the cage up against a tree.....take twenty good paces.....turn and blast the hell out of it with your 12G. A bloody joke of an outfit.
  17. A gymick. The skirt is designed to detach upon impact to give your shot better penetration. Or over penetration if you can get them to group. Madness really. As a well placed lead pellet will do the job and more accurately. Plus a hell of a lot cheaper. I'm not so sure about them ruining a barrel. There only made from monkey metal. I know the GWCT endorse the use of them in air pistols for the dispatch of cage trapped animals. But It's a sponsorship handshake. Steer clear and buy some proper pellets.
  18. Boot polish or dubin. They are good boots and a dab of polish now and again will keep them tip top.
  19. Your neighbours must look out their window and ask themselves "what the f**k is that eejit up to now?"
  20. No it isn't!! I will be fecked if im paying anyone to control their pests, especially if they demand all the bonus. I suggest a reproach at your ways at gaining trust and permission
